The purpose of this paper is to assess the impact of professional identification, organizational identification on job satisfaction, career satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study was conducted on 1118 lawyers licensed to practice in Vietnam for a period of 3 months. The results show that both professional identification and organizational identification had strong positive impacts on job satisfaction, career satisfaction and organizational commitment. In addition, Job satisfaction plays a mediate role in the relationship between professional identification, organizational identification and organizational commitment. But unlike previous studies, the two variables moderating Gender and organizational tenure have no moderate role in the relationship between professional identification and organizational commitment.

Although managers of various banks and institutions in Vietnam have established several policies to attract talented employees, talent management is still an emerging issue. This gives rise for a need of an empirical study which explores the relationship between talent manage-ment (TM) practices and talented employees’ performance. Hence this study fills the gap by applying the survey technique in the quantitative method with the main objective of examin-ing the relationship between TM and the four dimensions of employee performance; namely task, contextual, adaptive and counterproductive through affective commitment. A total of 375 questionnaires was targeted for distribution to talented employees in 10 banks in Vi-etnam. The findings show that although TM practices positively support employee performance (task, contextual and adaptive), they also reduce counterproductive behaviours. Also, affective commitment partially mediates the relationship between TM and the four dimen-sions of employee performance. The result of the study has some practical implications for managers and banks implementing and intending to implement TM practices. Managers and banks can design and implement TM practices with the aim to increase positive employee performance behaviours, reduce counterproductive behaviours and benefit from positive affective commitment through the implementation of TM practices.

The study was conducted with the overall purpose of examining the relationship between novelty seeking, satisfaction, return intention, and willingness to recommend of international visitors in Vietnam. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used in this study. Research data were collected by direct interviews with 252 international visitors from different countries visiting at least two tourist attractions in Vietnam. The research's results indicated that novelty-seeking was made up of four factors (relaxation seeking, experience seeking, arousal seek-ing, and boredom alleviation). The research proved that novelty seeking positively affected satisfaction. Besides, satisfaction also contributed to high effects on two other factors, namely, return intention and willingness to recommend. Comprehensively, some recommendations were provided to improve destinations' attractiveness as well as to ameliorate Vietnamese tourism service quality.

The study investigates determinants important factors influencing apartment prices in Ho Chi Minh city, the biggest economic center of Vietnam. More especially, the study is conducted by collecting survey data of 124 apartments successfully traded during the first six months of 2019. Regression analysis results indicate that apartment prices were positively influenced by size of apartment, presence of balcony, presence of swimming pool, presence of shopping malls and periodic rental income or value. Moreover, proximity to the city center exerts a negative impact on apartment prices. The findings provide some empirical evidence employing survey data on apartment prices in Vietnam. The results are essential for not only Ho Chi Minh city but also other provinces in Vietnam.

Green brand equity becomes increasingly important in green marketing. Increased green brand equity may promote customer’s purchasing behavior. This paper investigates the relationship between green brand equity and its driving forces, namely, green trust, green brand image and green satisfaction. The study uses a questionnaire-based survey to obtain data from university students who had some experience of purchasing green items in Ho Chi Minh City. A structural equation modeling approach is used to confirm the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that green trust and green brand image positively affected green brand equity. Moreover, the association between green brand equity and green brand image is partially mediated by green trust. It is also found that the association between green brand equity and green satisfaction was partially mediated by green trust. Thus, activities to promote green trust, green satisfaction, and green brand image are useful in improving green brand equity.

The objective of this paper is to assess the factors affecting the lawyers’ motivation in Vietnam through the Emotional Intelligence factor and the factors affecting Lawyer’s performance. To accomplish this goal, we conducted a survey for half a year and analyzed data on 960 lawyers, then used SPSS 22 and Smart PLS 3.0 software to analyze the data. The results show that all six factors positively impact Emotional Intelligence. Emotional Intelligence both positively and positively impact Lawyer’s Motivation and Lawyer’s Performance. At the same time Lawyer’s Motivation has a statistically significant positive impact on Lawyer’s Performance. Finally, the results of multi-group testing between male and female lawyers are statistically different. From the research results, we propose a few solutions to improve motivation and work efficiency for lawyers in Vietnam.

The objective of this paper is to assess the factors affecting job satisfaction of lawyers in Vietnam. The study also assesses the effect of job satisfaction on job engagement and the effectiveness of lawyers in Vietnam. Finally, the research examines the intermediary role of Job Cohesion and examines the role of Age's regulatory role in the relationship between Payment, Promotion and Job satisfaction. The results of data analysis using SPSS and Smart PLS software on 863 lawyers show that of the two factors affecting Job satisfaction were not statistically significant; Job Cohesion only had an additional intermediary role, not a full intermediary role on the relationship between Job satisfaction and Job Performance. Finally, Age had a statistically significant regulatory role on the relationship between Payment, Promotion and Job satisfaction. Finally, the author proposes guidelines that help improve the efficiency and job satisfaction of lawyers in Vietnam.

This paper examines the impact of financial constraints on the development of Vietnamese firms driven by Total Factor Productivity (TFP) growth at the firm level. The effects of financial constraints by FCIf index on TFP growth of 97,860 firms are estimated by applying Dynamic Panel Data model over the period 2012-2017. The results show that there was a negative correlation between FCIf and labor productivity growth and TFP growth in all industries. While FCIf index is increased by 0.1, TFP growth of firms is reduced by 3.71%. The results also show that there was an inverse relationship between FCIf index, and the size of value added and assets of firms. Firms operating in manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, and private firms face the biggest financial constraints.

The objective of this paper was to assess the impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intention on students in the North of Vietnam, through two mediating variables; namely entrepreneurship passion and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The study was conducted on 688 students from both economic and technical university in the Northern region of Vietnam. Data collected using SPSS 22 and Smart PLS 3.0 software shows that entrepreneurial education had a strong impact on entrepreneurial intention in the North of Vietnam. At the same time, entrepreneurial education also had a positive impact on entrepreneurship passion and Entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Time and Team Cooperation maintained a statistically significant moderate role on the relationship between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intention of students in the North of Vietnam.

This research is conducted to analyze and point out the relationship between environmental pollution and aquaculture development in the coastal areas in Vietnam. In this study, we use the binary Logit model (Y = 1/0) where the variable, Y, reflects the risks and losses in the household's aquaculture; and X is a vector of factors affecting the event. The results show that, among determinants, household's aquaculture experience (X1), the water pollution degree of the household (X4), intensive farming mode of the household (D1) influence household losses, while other variables such as educational attainment of the household head (X2) and farming area (X3) are not correlated with household losses. Based on the findings, some recommendations are given in the aspect that aquaculture households in the region to use new, more effective methods to protect the aquaculture environment in developing countries, including Vietnam.
