The organizational performance at Punjab healthcare is crucial and often faces stock-outs of critical medicines and equipment at emergency department of different hospitals, which increased the mortality rate. Therefore, the study determined the effect of disruptive factors and inventory control as a mediator on organizational performance. Quantitative method with survey questionnaires on a 200-sample size through cluster sampling was used. SPSS and AMOS were used to examine Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling. The results found full mediation with a significant positive effect between study variables. Further, the study indicated that strict compliance of standardized operating procedures, professionally well-equipped staff, stock availability, and accurate inventories could reduce costs with improved service quality. This study is useful for the public healthcare facilities, ministries managing inventories and body of knowledge. Finally, the backlog inventories at public sector organizations need to be researched in future.

Aged workers were mostly questioned in terms of their work efficiency. However, as time changed and the structure of human resource in the organization also changed, older people became important part of all human resources in the organization. The study, hence, aimed 1) to study the level of work efficiency of aged workers; and 2) to study factors affecting work efficiency of aged workers. The study applied quantitative method using questionnaire as a data collection tool, collecting data from aged governmental officers in Nong Khai province, Thailand. There were 402 completed questionnaires which were taken for analysis. The finding presented that aged workers performed very high level of work efficiency using frequency, mean, and standard deviation techniques to analyze. To find the factors affecting work efficiency, the research applied multiple regression analysis. The finding presented that recognition and respect, fair evaluation, job design, and compensation were factors affecting work efficiency of aged governmental officers.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of entrepreneurial competence and competitiveness as mediating variable on the business success of apparel small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greater Bandung (five cities/regencies). To collect data, some questionnaires were used. Out of the 128 companies in the apparel SMEs population, 96 were selected as representative sample. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the hypotheses. The research outcomes revealed that entrepreneurial competence affected competitiveness, entrepreneurial competence affected business success directly and indirectly through competitiveness, and competitiveness affected business success. The managerial implication of this study is also discussed.

The speed of progress in information technology has evolved continuously and has changed the way entrepreneurship is carried out in running its business. The rapidity of internet users also influences economic development indicated by the shifting of the idea of buying and selling transactions which previously emphasized face to face, now it is more comfortable and done without face to face or known online. This study aims to provide an overview and examine the use of social commerce, the uniqueness of resource capabilities and competitive advantage in influencing the business performance of MSMEs in Jambi Province. The study also explores the competitive advantage of mediating social commerce and the uniqueness of resource capacity to the business performance of MSMEs in Jambi Province. This research was conducted in three districts in the Jambi Province, namely Jambi city, Tanjung Jabung Barat district, and Sungaipenuh city. The research method used is quantitative research and verification with Smart PLS application version 3.0. The unit of analysis of this study is MSMEs with an observation unit that is the manager of MSMEs businesses in the three locations of research objects. The number of respondents used was 150 selected MSMEs business units from two cities and one district, namely Jambi city, Sungai Penuh city, and Tanjung Jabung Barat District, representing Jambi Province. The results show that social commerce had a significant influence on competitive advantage. Still, on the other hand, it shows that the uniqueness of resource capabilities did not have any substantial impact on competitive advantage. Social commerce did not have any significant effect on the business performance of MSMEs in Jambi Province, as well as the uniqueness of resource capabilities, apparently not significantly influenced the business performance of MSMEs in Jambi Province. On the contrary, competitive advantage can control MSMEs Business performance in Jambi Province. However, the model of social commerce utilization and the uniqueness of resource capabilities affect the business performance of MSMEs in Jambi Province, mediated by competitive advantage.

This research examines the relationship between consumer attitudes and decisions. By examining the attitude forming variables, among others, usefulness, ease of use and risk which directly influence attitudes and the direct influence of consumer attitudes on consumer decisions. The population in this study is a large number of consumers and the amount is not known with certainty, the researchers, for the sample using a random sampling method which is part of the non-probability sampling technique with the criteria of respondents who have shopped in offline retail and online retail, over 17 years old and domiciled in Jakarta. Samples taken amounted to 160 with 32 questions for each respondent. The results show that usefulness and ease of use affect consumer attitudes. While ease of use is the most powerful variable and has the biggest contribution that influences attitude. In this research hypothesis there is one hypothesis that is rejected, namely the effect of risk on attitude attitudes, the results of the study found that risk has no effect on attitude.

The rise in carbon disclosure has yet to be matched by evidence and understanding of how carbon disclosure affects a firm’s actual carbon performance? Therefore, this study examines the relationship between voluntary carbon disclosure and the carbon performance of the UK’s listed firms by applying the ‘outside-in’ management perspective. Panel data analysis of UK FTSE350 firms and their carbon disclosures for the period 2007–2015, made on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) platform, indicates that enhanced carbon disclosure was associated with improved carbon performance in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. Additional analysis found that the carbon disclosure-carbon performance relationship is more pronounced in carbon-intensive industries. Moreover, during the financial crisis period, the relationship of interest is insignificant, however, during the recovery years, improved carbon reporting was associated with lower emissions. This study confirms that carbon disclosure motivates companies and creates a momentum effect for the subsequent reduction in their emissions. Our findings are useful for corporate stakeholders and governmental policymakers who are concerned about the quality and consequences of carbon disclosure.

This study aims to explore the power of grit, personality, and creativity to enhance teacher’s professional competence with teaching efficacy mediation. A questionnaire collected the research data through the survey method. This research participant is 386 mathematics, and natural science teachers in Indonesia spread across four provinces (Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Riau) determined by accidental sampling. Data analysis uses path analysis supported by descriptive statistics. The results show that grit, personality, and creativity, had a significant effect on teacher’s professional competence, either directly or indirectly, mediating by teaching efficacy. Personality has a more dominant direct effect on teaching efficacy and professional competence than grit and creativity. Even personality also has an indirect impact on professional competence mediating by teaching efficacy better than grit and creativity. That means the existence of personality more critical than grit and creativity. Therefore, a fit research model about grit, personality, and creativity on teacher’s professional competence mediating by teaching efficacy was found based on data from teachers in Indonesia. This model can be discussed as a reference or discuss by researchers and practitioners in developing professional competence models.

Passion has known widely as a factor that influences motivation positively. However, its operationalization in decision-making remains unclear. To fill this gap, the author develops the concept and model of the passionate decision through which one can predict future inclination to a choice. Using university choice as a research context, the data from 350 respondents reveals that the model is robust and has good nomological validity. As expected, the passionate decision can explain 98% of future loyalty. The construct is also able to represent 93% of positive affect, decision confidence, and self-efficacy, usually used as the indicators of decision quality. Decision justifiability and mastery goals contribute positively to the passionate decision, whereas performance-avoidance goals show the adverse contribution, and performance-approach goals show no contribution. This re-search still uses harmonious passion. Further research can use obsessive passion to investigate whether both have the same or different capability in explaining future choice engagement.

This paper evaluates factors influencing the player loyalty with golf courses. The main factors include service quality, perceived value, customer (player) satisfaction, and golf course image. The results indicate that in the golf course business in the Northern Vietnam, factors such as perceived value and customer satisfaction had significant impacts on player’s loyalty. Service quality did not have any direct impact on player’s loyalty but highly influenced player loyalty through other mediators. Golf course image that had not been studied in the golf tourism business before, was also proved its significant role on impacting the golfer loyalty.

Y Generation upholds flexibility in work, therefore work-life balance becomes particular factor that affect attitude of Y generation employees in the organization. Job engagement is a psychological factor that makes employees emotionally attached to their work in order to produce performance and high commitment. A good quality of work-life balance reduces the sum of turnover intention; therefore, organization should avoid problems involving turnover intention. The objective of this study was to examine and analyze the influence of work-life balance toward job engagement and turnover intention of Y generation employees in the city of Bandung, West Java-Indonesia. Respondents used in this study were 190 employees from various fields of work. The data analysis of this study used simple linear regression, with validity and reliability test for data quality test. The results of this study show there is no effect of work-life balance on job engagement; however, it was found there is an effect of work-life balance toward turnover intention. One of managerial implications from the research results that have been proposed is that the company should provide work time and paid leave for employees in accordance with applicable government regulations and should not impose overtime on employees, however the company should consider adding to the number of new employees, therefore work can be completed on target without placing more strain on existing employees.
