Innovation on business model is not only describing the bundle of products and services but also it is integrated with the input of customer experience. Customer experience should become a key role in developing business model innovation in driving transformational performance. This paper argues that the transformational performance is derived from business model innovation and focuses on customer experience. We use telecommunication firms as our unit analysis with sample of 195 Indonesian ICT firms out of 542 units. The analytical approach and solution technique that is used for analysis is Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings demonstrate that business model played significant role on supporting contribution of customer experience in driving transformational performance. The finding has implication that by synergizing the value proposition of customer experience in a business model innovation, the transformational performance can be maintained through focus on customer experience driven business model innovation. Further study can be explored through additional variable, sample and further study on longitudinal on digital transformation firms.

This study tends to investigate and assess the average waiting time (WT) in Dubai primary healthcare services centers. Healthcare centers will face critical problems if WT is not solved properly. Accordingly, this study tries to dig a deep insight on such problem and provides proper suggestions to reduce WT. An Electronic Medical Record audit is used to count the patients’ WT during a four-week period in health care service centers employing a universal sampling approach. All patients who visit the health medical centers during such period are considered for the study purpose except those need emergency services. A self-administered questionnaire is used to collect the needed records about WT longevity causes from direct em-ployees who use to interact patients in a continuous basis. The questionnaires are distributed in 12 healthcare centers throughout Emirate of Dubai in UAE. A total of 76,780 electronic medical records are audited for patients and 938 responses are analyzed for the employee survey. The study finds that about 45.2% of the patients were registered within less than 7 minutes of their visit and the mean WT was 11.7 minutes of entrance. While more than two third of them (75.3%) waited less than 30 minutes and the average consultation WT was 34.2 minutes. 65.9% of patients waited less than 28 days to get their appointment and the average appointment WT was 35 days. The data collected from employees denoted that the main causes of patients’ WT were high workload level, insufficient work procedure, employees-supervisor interaction problems and adequate facilities availability. There is a need for healthcare leaders and managers in charges in this sector to reduce patients’ complaints while waiting and to solve the WT problem in a planned manner.

Value engineering is a methodology developed based on cost reduction and product function-ality increase and it has become a competitive factor which allows micro and small businesses owners to improve their performance. This paper proposes a method to identify some techniques of value engineering for improvement and redesigning of products, cost reduction, and component substitution. The proposed method uses the factors in value management of the micro and small businesses of the clothing textiles sector in the region of Arequipa. The results of the research provide some evidences that there is a direct positive correlation between the aforementioned techniques and value management and the results yield significant values, in all cases. A regression analysis is used in product redesigning and cost reduction.

It is a well-known fact that quality of work life (QWL) is considered as a philosophy to make the people more effective at workplace by understanding their psychological well-being and involvement or attachment. The main objective of the current investigation was to understand the degree of the QWL amongst the employees working in the Saudi Arabia. The random sampling method was applied to select the data from employees working in the public and private sectors. The QWL scale and biographical information sheet were used to gather the information from the employees. Based on the research objective and design of the investigation, factorial analysis, Cronbach’s alpha value for reliability check and other statistical techniques were used to explore the facts of the data. The results show that six factors such as autonomy, inter-group relation, recognition, economic benefits, self-respect and supervisory relations were most important determinants of QWL; married and public sector employees found to have high mean score on QWL as compared with their counterparts and majority of employees in the company were having low level of quality of work life. Certain mechanism was discussed to enhance the QWL of the employees to make the organization more effective and viable.

The concept of talent management has received great attention from scholars and practitioners. Despite this, there are few studies associated with the relationship between innovation and talent management. This study invokes human capital, McGregor’s X and Y, social exchange and employee attraction theories to examine the link between talent management, product innovation, process innovation and marketing innovation. A questionnaire is developed to collect the data from the study sample consisted of (120) employees in top and middle management positions. Collated data is analyzed with variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results from PLS-SEM suggest that talent management had a significant and positive impact on product, process and marketing innovations. Supplemental ANOVA analyses also reveal that organizational tenure was a strong determinant for talent management as well as product, process and marketing innovations.

This research aims to examine the effects of two viral marketing attributes; namely viral advertising and E-WOM on customer purchase intention. In particular, the authors contemplate the prima facie nature of the relationship by examining brand image and age as contingent boundary conditions (moderator role). The population of the study consists of graduate students in a private Cypriot university. A sample size of 177 participants is recruited using a convenience sampling technique. Multiple linear regression and analysis of variance are the statistical analyses employed to test the developed hypotheses. The findings reveal that viral marketing influenced on customer purchase intention magnified under the moderating role of brand image but age did not affect the relationship. Interestingly, viral advertising had a greater effect on customer purchase intention than E-WOM. Finally, discussions of this research finding in light of academic knowledge are put forward before suggesting future research directions.

Policy-makers generally consider entrepreneurship to be instrumental for economic growth and technological progress. The entrepreneurship process is shaped by the presence of entre-preneurship environment. Since entrepreneurship self-efficacy perceptions are also vital to new venture creation and its performance, entrepreneurship self-efficacy literature has gener-ated interesting insights, the research on impact of environment on entrepreneurship self-efficacy is still less evident. This study tests the influence of some environmental cognitive support elements on the entrepreneurship self-efficacy. A cross-sectional research design in Vietnamese students with quantitative questionnaire approach was conducted. The sample consists of 350 students in 6 business and economics universities in Hanoi. The result of the multiple regression analysis reveals that environments’ support-factors including perceived financial and non-financial supports, and social supports are significantly related to perceived entrepreneurship self-efficacy of students. The study findings highlight some implications for government to reinforce policies encouraging entrepreneurship in university students.

This article is devoted to the problems of forming analytical support for the management of economic activities of industrial enterprises under emergency situations. It is established that the current ap-proaches of the formation of economic analysis in economic activities do not allow to fully assess the impact of emergencies on the financial conditions of the enterprises. Therefore, a taxonomic analysis technique is applied, which allows to represent the level of business development mathe-matically and to identify the most influential factors, including the consequences of emergencies. Methodological provisions for the use of taxonomic analysis are also developed, which consist of successive stages of application of analytical procedures for evaluating the development of the enterprise. This includes a comprehensive assessment of the level of development of the enterprise in the context of emergency situations by calculating an integrated taxonomic indicator; assessment of the structure and dynamics of the integrated emergency indicators and the assessment of the consequences of the emergency. The methodology is applied and tested on the example of activity of PAP “Novokramatorsky Automobile-Building Plant”. Overall comprehensive assessment of the level of development of the enterprise allows us to identify advantages, disadvantages and “bottlenecks” in the activity of the enterprise. It also identifies and mobilizes internal economic reserves, optimize the financial and economic activity of the enterprise as a whole, as well as timely diagnose the presence and depth of the crisis. The methodology can be applied at the enterprises of different branches of national economics with different sizes.

Railway transportation (RT) plays a crucial role and it is an inseparable part of one country’s main traffic network. However, due to the advantages of aviation industry and other modes of transportation, the share of RT of total traffic volume gradually decreases and RT enterprises are facing various difficulties. Customer satisfaction is one of the essential factors for the survival of any business organization. In order to accordingly offer products and services, RT companies must understand their customers and find out to what extent the consumer is sat-isfied with their offered services and products. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of each factor on the passengers’ satisfaction and freight owners for RT service in Vietnam’s context. The study utilizes 7Ps marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process and Physical evidence) to analyze the customer satisfaction level. The collected data are analyzed through the multiple regression method by the use of SPSS software to understand the relationship of marketing mix elements and consumers’ satisfaction. The study finding helps us guide the RT operators on their marketing strategy formulation. Customers will benefit through enhanced knowledge regarding both core and augmented products associated with RT services. It is also expected that this work can be used as a reference material for RT managers to enhance competitiveness.

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effects of compassion experienced by small-to-medium enterprise (SME) employees on affective commitment through authenticity and positive emotion. This study was conducted with 200 employees working at SMEs located in South Korea. The results show that the relationships between compassion and authenticity, between authenticity and positive emotion, between positive emotion and affective commit-ment, and between compassion and affective commitment were significant. In addition, the relationship between compassion and affective commitment was significantly double-mediated by authenticity and positive emotion. The results provide a meaningful implication that SME employees would build authenticity and positive emotions by experiencing compassion and that those who build authenticity and positive emotions would enhance their affective commitment.
