The purpose of the article is to evaluate the factors affecting supply chain finance and the influence of supply chain finance on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance in Vietnam. The study was conducted on 856 small and medium enterprises in Vietnam for 3 consecutive months. The data is processed by Smart PLS 3.3.6 software, the results show that credit quality, supply chain integration, information sharing, and information technology all have a statistically significant impact on supply chain finance. Besides, supply chain finance has a statistically significant impact on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance. Finally, the innovation capability and the market response capability act as full mediators in the relationship between supply chain finance and supply chain financing performance. Based on the research results, we propose solutions and recommendations to help small and medium enterprises better access capital and improve business performance.

This study attempts to provide empirical findings for the advantages of implementing Bal-anced Scorecard System (BSC) combined with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for ser-vice providers in determining the effects of BSC and CSR on businesses performance (BP). The concept of BSC is employed to evaluate the perceived importance of the relationship between the BSC and BP to facilitate the goals of service providers. BSC covers key perspectives, including financial perspective, customer perspective, internal process perspective, growth and ideal learning perspective towards service quality. CSR can influence goals of business directly and indirectly by different paths, including: Firstly, from CSR to Goals directly; secondly, from CSR to the Financial dimension and then to Goals; thirdly, from CSR to Learning & Growth and to Goals; and fourthly, from CSR through Learning & Growth, including causal relationship effects that affect the Financial dimension, then to Goals. To achieve the objectives, the study designs a questionnaire and distributes it randomly to three major groups of stakeholders (i.e., two hundred customers, seventy employees and thirty managers). This study uses CSR variable and BSC perspective variables which is frequently employed to assess the performance of financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective, learning and growth perspective. Using ordinary least squares regression and the sample of three groups of stakeholders, the results show that the changes towards sustainability occur in this country. The stakeholders of firms hold the perception that CSR can help firms reach their goals and visions. Secondly, the study contributes to the literature of performance measurement systems in the service industry. Our findings provide empirical evidence for the suggestion that BSC can help service firms achieve their goals and visions. The combination of CSR and BSC in this study can become a foundation to discover more for service firms in developing countries. Thirdly, our approach concentrates on important stakeholders, which can illustrate differences in the perceptions of important stakeholders about CSR, BSC dimensions, goals, and visions. Furthermore, this helps to enhance the chances to develop the appropriate visions and goals for their business.

The objective of the paper is to assess the relationship between the CEO ethical leadership style and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) implementation through corporate culture; thereby testing the impact of CSR implementation on financial performance; finally examining the regulatory role of CEO founder status and the corporation size in the relationship be-tween the CEO ethical leadership style and corporate culture. A research on 536 Vietnamese garment and textile enterprises is conducted and the results show that CEO ethical leadership style positively impacts CSR implementation through corporate culture. Simultaneously, the CSR implementation brings more positive financial results henceforth. A statistically significant regulatory role of the CEO founder status and the corporation size in the relationship is also determined. The bigger the CEO founder performs, the better the influence of CEO ethical leadership style on corporate culture, and the smaller the CEO founder performs, the less impact of CEO ethical leadership style on corporate culture. In contrast to larger businesses, the CEO ethical leadership style slightly influences the corporate culture because at this time corporate culture has been formed for a long time and has become a habit of employees.

As operating the business in the economy, all enterprises are interested in the business efficiency. Business efficiency is not only a measure of organizational performance and business management but also it is a vital issue for businesses operations. That is why defining the factors affecting business performance in enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for more than 80 percentage of the enterprises in Vietnam plays a very important role in helping business managers find solutions to improve the business efficiency. This paper is conducted to determine the factors affecting the business performance of these groups of businesses from the perspective of business managers and the business. This study is based on a survey from 100 business managers and 400 small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. Through the EFA analysis tool, we found some similarities in terms of the groups of factors affecting the business performance in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam between the perspective of business managers and perspective of the enterprises. Both the surveyed groups defined that there were three factor groups influencing the business efficiency: (1) group of institutional, policy and infrastructure factors, (2) group of factors associated with enterprises and (3) group of factors related to the environment outside the enterprise.

This article evaluates the factors affecting the use of management accounting in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hanoi, Vietnam. The factors include: Production and business characteris-tics; Competitiveness; Business strategy; CEO of awareness management; Human resource quality. The study is conducted on 238 SMEs in Hanoi and the results show that CEO’s awareness of management accounting had the strongest impact on the ability to apply management accounting of enterprises while competition level factor had the weakest effect. At the same time, the study also examines the significant role of mediating factor of firm size on the relationship between the charac-teristics of the production and business process and the application of management accounting, age and professional qualifications. The results indicate that enterprise size plays a significant role on regulating the impact of business characteristics of enterprises on management accounting applica-tion. For smaller enterprises, management accounting is less used and vice versa. Next, the younger the managers are, the higher the impact of their awareness on management accounting application, which means management accounting will be used more if managers are younger.

In Vietnam, the role of commercial banks is extremely important, but the real situation does not really meet the requirements of the economy. The State Bank of Vietnam has implemented many solutions to stabilize the monetary market and regulated internal control and internal audit of credit insti-tutions. Therefore, in order to survive and develop in a sustainable way, each commercial bank itself needs to build good governance policies so that its activities are always effective. The most suitable solution is given: good completion of internal control to improve the operational effectiveness of internal control. This article studies the major factors affecting the effectiveness of internal control in joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam, in order to help them understand the factors affecting, improving and ensuring the effective operations of the banks, aiming at the goals of stabilizing the financial economy of the country.

The objective of the paper is to verify the impact of management profile on the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Nam Dinh garment and textile enterprises, Vietnam. Being conducted on 168 managers of Nam Dinh textile and garment enterprises, using SPSS 22 and Smart PLS 3.0 software, the study shows that management profile had a positive impact on CSR implementation. Also, the importance of ethics and social responsibility had an intermediate role in the relationship between management profile and CSR practices. In addition, the study has examined the moderate role with statistical significance of CEOs’ age and professional qualifications. The younger the CEO is, the more CSR he/she carries out and the higher the CEOs’ professional level is, the more CSR is accomplished.

This paper examines the production efficiency and its determinants of 3301 rice farms in Vietnam. Our empirical results from data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique show that rice farms perform on average level of efficiency. There are differences in production of each farm related to some demographic factors and educational level. Results from Tobit model indicate that education played an important role in helping farmer improve their efficiency. In addition, policies on increasing the cultivation area may also promote the farm efficiency.

The profitability of tourism industry is affected by several factors due to the specificity of tourism business activities such as the season, resources, geographic position, state and local policy, etc. Therefore, determining the groups of factors that affect the profitability and profitability ratios in tourism business activities helps to give synchronous solutions to improve the efficiency of tourism business. This study is based on a survey on the factors affecting the profitability through the questionnaires and interviews of 115 tourist enterprises in BinhDinh, Vietnam. The study conducts Cronbach’s Alpha and EFA analysis to determine groups of influencing factors and building regression functions of factors affecting the profitability ratios in tourist enterprises in BinhDinh province, Vietnam. Based on the EFA analysis results, the study has found two main types of fac-tors affecting the profitability of enterprises; namely within and outside the firms. The group of fac-tors within the enterprise includes 3 small groups; namely financial capacity; Enterprise human re-sources and Enterprise leadership. The external factors include 4 small groups including tourism business market; travel space and support services; political institutions; infrastructure and tourism security. The effects of these factors on financial figures are also represented in regression form.

The rate of foreign tourist arrivals coming to Vietnam as an emerging tourism market has been increased significantly bringing enormous benefits for improving the socio-economic indicators. The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of exchange rate policy on the number of foreign tourist arrivals in Vietnam over the period 2006-2018. Our regression results show the exchange rate maintained a positive impact on the demand of foreign tourists and indicate that the domestic currency devaluation also had a positive effect on the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam. Besides, the quantitative result also indicates the number of foreign tourist arrival in the early periods had a positive impact on itself in the current period. Furthermore, the Granger causality test con-firms the existence of a one-way causal relationship between the exchange rate and the number of foreign tourist arrivals. Finally, the paper provides some implications for policymakers in order to efficiently use the exchange rate policy to increase the number of foreign tourist arrivals in the coming time.
