In a complex digital era, innovative supply chain management is the key to success in overcoming logistical challenges. By implementing the latest technology, adopting innovative strategies, and managing risk well, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. The main driver of innovation is leadership in the supply chain. The supply chain network views transformational leadership and innovation as a source of competitive advantage. This study attempts to examine the direct and indirect relationship between supply chain transformational leadership, supply chain innovation performance, and satisfaction with supply chain outcomes. The main objective of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of supply chain innovation performance on the effect of supply chain transformational leadership on supply chain outcomes. The study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software where primary data are obtained through a survey by distributing questionnaires. Respondents from this study were 507 leaders of MSMEs who were included in the purposive sampling criteria. The results of the instrument scale test used in this study met the standards of validity and reliability analysis. The results of the regression analysis of this study indicate that supply chain transformational leadership had a significant and positive effect on satisfaction of supply chain outcomes. Supply chain transformational leadership also maintained a significant and positive effect on supply chain innovation performance. Moreover, supply chain innovation performance provided a significant and positive effect on supply chain outcomes. There was also a partial support in examining the effect of mediating variables on supply chain innovation performance on the positive effect of chain transformational leadership. The theoretical implication of this research is that the results of this study support previous research studies which state that supply chain transformational leadership had a positive and significant contribution to satisfaction of supply chain performance and encourages the improvement of MSMEs. The practical implication of this research is that MSMEs managers must use transformational leadership to encourage increased performance and innovation because the results of this study have proven that transformational leadership in the supply chain will contribute to increased innovation and performance of MSMEs.

While some organizations realize the important role of strategic planning (SP) and leadership in influencing their business performance, it is unknown what SP dimensions and leadership style are required to improve the performance of banking institutions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of transformational leadership (TL) style and SP dimensions (strategic planning level, implementation and barriers) on organizational performance. To this end, a self-administered questionnaire is distributed to a sample of 246 managerial employees from private banks in Yemen. The analysis with structural equation modelling using partial least squares indicates that TL style and SP dimensions significantly influence the performance of Yemeni banks. The results reveal that TL and SP dimensions are profoundly needed to enable Yemeni banks to propel to improved bank performance. The results draw several pertinent implications for decision makers that will help enhance the performance of the banking sector. Limitations from the findings and recommendations for further research are put forward.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the performance of Reverse Logistics and Green Supply Chain Management, to analyze the relationship between Green Procurement Aspects and the performance of Green Supply Chain Management. This research method is quantitative, the analysis of research data uses the partial least square structural equation model (SEM-PLS) with a statistical data processing tool, namely SmartPLS 4.0 software. Research data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires through social media designed using a Likert scale of 7. Respondents in this study were 670 SMEs owners in Java Island, Indonesia. The stages of data analysis are validity test, reliability test and significance test or hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that Reverse Logistics has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Green Supply Chain Management, Green Procurement Aspects has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Green Supply Chain Management. The novelty of this study is the relationship model between Reverse Logistics variables, the performance of Green Supply Chain Management and Green Procurement in SMEs which was not found in previous studies. Culinary SMEs are expected to be able to participate in supporting environmentally sound development. This is because the concept of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is a concept that aims to minimize the negative impact of an organization and its supply chain on the environment related to climate change, pollution and resources that are not too large. In order to support GSCM, it is necessary to evaluate the extent to which this concept is carried out by Culinary SMEs. By conducting this evaluation, it is hoped that the constraints and obstacles faced by SMEs in carrying out GSCM can be identified. For this reason, it is necessary to have support from related parties, in this case the government, to conduct socialization and counseling and assistance in implementing GSCM.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate potential links between Blockchain technology (BCT) and big data analytics (BDA) with supply chain risk management (SCRM) and supply chain performance (SCP) in the Jordanian Chemical and Cosmetic Industries Sector. Additionally, the paper tests a conceptual model that links SCRM to indirect effects. To test our proposition, data were collected from 364 employees working in Jordanian Chemical and Cosmetic Industries Sector. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with aid of the Lavaan R package. The results show that the influences of blockchain technology and big data analytics on supply chain performance do occur directly, and indirectly through the cascading of a supply chain risk management.

The purpose of this study is to analyze sharia microfinance strategies to encourage the economy at the community level such as the Integrated Business Centers (BMT) based on Sharia principles. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires on 283 BMT managers in Java. Using PLS analysis, strengthening corporate performance is measured by Islamic business ethics with intellectual capital as mediation. This model construct is unique and provides value in this study. The results showed that the strength of the external environment did not directly affect the performance of the BMT; Islamic business ethics and intellectual capital have positive and significant effects on BMT performance; and Intellectual capital is proven to mediate the indirect effect of the strength of the external environment and Islamic business ethics on BMT performance. Islamic Business Ethics in its application greatly supports the vision and mission of BMT. With the good implementation of Islamic Business Ethics, the level of customer confidence from BMT increases and will automatically increase BMT performance. Strength of the External Environment able to influence BMT performance after mediation from the Intellectual Capital. Intellectual Capital owned by BMT employees is an inseparable part and greatly supports BMT performance. This is evident in this study in which qualified intellectual capital from the employees had a good impact on improving BMT performance.

Strategists have unique skills and abilities to connect the past and the present in order to predict what might happen in the future. The current study is the culmination of a number of research ideas in the field of Strategic Thinking (ST), Strategic Planning (SP) and Strategic Innovation (SI) in relation of Human Capital (HC). The survey method was used to collect data from 235 SMEs in the manufacturing industry of Yemen. Results indicate that ST, SP and SI have a significant effect on HC. The mediating effects of HC on the relationship between ST, SP and SI and SMEs’ performance were also examined. Results indicate that HC mediates the relationship between ST, SP and SI and firm performance. The findings of this study offer important insights for managers of SMEs, researchers and policymakers to further understand the effects of ST, SP SI, HC and SMEs’ performance. SMEs should also be encouraged to develop their ST, SP, SI and HC to improve their performance. Finally, this study serves not only to clarify the mechanism between HC and SMEs’ performance, but also to generalize the ST, SP and SI results in the Yemen and Middle East context.

There are several environmental issues that are in the spotlight globally, including: global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, the greenhouse effect, and acid rain. This problem is a concern and needs serious action for human survival. Supply chain activities are suspected of contributing to environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Green Supply Chain Management on competitiveness, the effect of Green Supply Chain Management on Performance and the effect of competitiveness on Performance. The study used quantitative methods and research data were obtained using online questionnaires distributed via social media. The research respondents were managers of manufacturing companies in Indonesia and the number of samples used was 540 respondents who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and software used for data processing by SmartPLS. The results showed that Green Supply Chain Management had a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, Green Supply Chain Management did not have any positive and significant effect on Performance and competitiveness had a positive and significant effect on Performance.

Cement & material sector is instrumental in infrastructural development of any economy. The same holds about Saudi cement sector which has contributed substantially to the economic and construc-tion boom in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The cement sector of KSA holds the highest place among other GCC countries. Though, during the last couple of years, the sector seems to be grap-pled with capacity and weighted down due to certain reasons. Nevertheless, almost all of the cement companies in KSA are underplaying their actual capacities. Still, plenty of untapped growth oppor-tunities for cement sector are available in KSA and other GCC countries. Henceforth, considering the growth potential and taking cue from the current scenario of KSA cement sector, the current study endeavors to measure the efficiency of listed cement companies in KSA. The study endeavors to be engrossed in identifying a set of companies which plays on efficiency frontier. Therefore, the technical efficiency performance of fourteen listed cement companies in KSA was measured using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methodology. Two basic models of DEA methodology (i.e. CRS & VRS) were used to estimate the pure and technical efficiency of identified DMUs over a pe-riod of four years from 2016 to 2019. The study reveals that over a period of four years and on an average efficiency scale, only 23% of the firms were purely technically efficient on a CRS scale, while 46% of the firms were technically efficient. Only 23% of the firms were scale and technically efficient. Though, companies in the sector have a vast potential to outperform on efficiency front. Yet, the overall efficiency level among Saudi cement companies are remained depressing. Moreo-ver, the study has noticed that the companies which are inefficient did not have a considerable dis-tance from the efficiency frontier. The study also provided significant insights on the input factors causing inefficiency and suggestion to achieve the total technical efficiency. Furthermore, the effi-ciency analysis also provided benchmarking firms, which are efficient under several criteria for oth-ers to imitate their best practices for becoming a significant player on efficiency frontier.

One of the important tasks is to improve work ability, work motivation, performance and work productivity in business. The research objective is to examine the contribution and influence of work ability, work motivation, performance, and their impacts on work productivity. The research was conducted among all 105 cooperatives in the city of Pasuruan, East Java. The research method used survey methods and data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results showed that work ability and work motivation had significant effects on the performance (β=0.226, Sig. = 0.000). Work ability, work motivation, and performance had significant effects on work productivi-ty (β=0.481, α = 0.000). The ability to work had a significant direct effect on the performance (β=0.393, Sig. = 0.000). Work ability had a significant direct effect on productivity (β=0.578, Sig. = 0.043). Performance had a significant direct effect on work productivity (β=0.542, α = 0.000). Furthermore, work ability had a significant effect on work productivity through performance (t-value=2.083>1.983). Finally, work motivation had a significant indirect effect on productivity through performance (t-value=2.921>1.983).

Empowerment and experience help and support organizations in enhancing their profitability, productivity and performance. This research aimed to examine the impact of empowerment and minimum experiences on the organizational performance. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied for analysis purpose. 237 questionnaires were collected from the Saudi workers who participated in the research. The research recommended that organizations must start encouraging their managers to implement more participative leadership styles such as providing subordinates with greater opportunities to get involved in decision-making and to adapt their ideas.
