This study examines the Granger causality between domestic credit and gross domestic product (GDP) as well as investigating this long-term relationship in Vietnam from 2004:Q1 to 2017:Q4 with the use of the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model as the analysis method. Empirical results show that there was a two-way Granger causality relationship between credit and GDP. In addition, credit expansion had a negative impact on economic growth in Vietnam in the long term. Based on this research outcome, the study proposes a number of recommendations focusing on how to overcome the limitations of the bank credit supply channel.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of work discipline on the performance of Ambon State Polytechnic education staff and analyze the effect of work discipline on performance through Total Quality Management (TQM) in Ambon State Polytechnic education staff. Respondents in this study were 100 Ambon State Polytechnic education staff. The analytical model used to determine the effect between variables is a structural model with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results show that work discipline directly affected the performance of educational staff by 20.6% and the indirect effect of work discipline affected the performance of the education staff through Total Quality Management of 38.7% which means that the practice of TQM is able to provide a considerable influence in improving the performance of educational staff. To improve the performance of educational staff, work discipline should be directed at the TQM process in advance so that the work process is more directed.

The present study examines the relationship between high performance human resource (HPHR) system and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in Vietnamese enterprises, and explores the mediating role of job satisfaction in this interaction. Data collected from 179 line managers working in Vietnamese companies by structured questionnaires. The results indicate that the positive relationship between HPHR system and organizational citizenship behavior was mediated by job satisfaction. The study also provides an evidence in terms of the application of HPHR system to foster the organizational outcomes and contributes to understand the underlying mechanism in human resource system and employee’s behaviors relationship.

This article aims to construct and empirically verify a model that demonstrates the association between social capital dimensions, knowledge sharing, and firm performance. For data collection, a questionnaire was delivered to medium and small enterprises across Ho Chi Minh City using convenience sampling. To verify the proposed relationships, the data collected from 543 middle and top managers of medium and small enterprises were then examined using Structural Equation Modelling. Overall, explicit and tacit knowledge sharing are fostered as a result of all social capital dimensions. In a similar vein, both types of knowledge sharing influence firm performance. The study proposes a guide as to how firms should achieve better performance by promoting social capital and knowledge sharing.

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of entrepreneurship attitude of manager and cooperative member motivation in enhancing member participation in North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. A questionnaire survey with a 1-5 Likert Scale is executed to achieve the objective of the study. Respondents consist of 100 managers and 100 members of the cooperatives. Data is analyzed using SPSS v. 20. The results show that manager entrepreneurship attitude and member motivations correlated significantly in increasing the participation of cooperative members with r1 = 0.866 (p-value=0.00) and r2 = 0.902 (p-value=0.00), respectively. Likewise, entrepreneurship attitude of manager and member motivation have significant effects on increasing member participation. It is also found that R2 = 0.836, and F-value was 247,430 with α≤0.01. This study revealed the independent variable significantly correlated and increased participation of member in the Province of North Sumatera, Indonesia. Thus, it is very important to insert entrepreneurship attitude and motivation in providing cooperative education.

This study investigates the effects of talent management (TM) of human resources on organizational performance improvement. The study is accomplished through hypothesizing the effect of talent management on organizational performance. Organizational commitment is theorized to be a mediating factor for this relationship. In addition, the model considers transformational leadership style as a potential moderating factor. Data was collected from 385 Jordanian hotel employees using questionnaires and then analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results demonstrate the positive impact of talent management (TM) on organizational performance, effective continuance and normative commitment. It is also shown that effective continuance and normative commitment played a mediating role. Finally, Transformational leadership style is proven to be a moderating variable with an effect on talent management and organizational performance. The findings show the significance of the role that organizational commitment plays in achieving human resources performance goals.

The research investigated the effects of grit and employability on organizational commitment by mediating job involvement of the private higher education in Indonesia. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample of this research is 130 lecturers selected by purposive sampling. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires and analyzing with path analysis based on supporting correlation and descriptive statistics. The results of the research confirm that grit, employability and job involvement had significant direct effects on organizational commitment, grit and employability had significant direct effects on job involvement, and grit and employability had significant indirect effects on the organizational commitment by mediating job involvement. A fit research model was found on the effects of grit and employability on organizational commitment mediating by job involvement. This model can be discussed as a reference by researchers and practitioners in developing models of organizational commitment in the future and any context.

This article is carried out to identify factors influencing on financial risk of construction firms listed on Vietnam's stock market. The panel data is extracted from financial statements of 142 listed construction firms between 2012 and 2019. Using regression analysis, financial risk was measured by Alexander Bathory model, it was found: the financial risk was significantly and positively correlated with inventory turnover, negatively correlated with debt structure, return on assets, quick ratio, accounts receivable turnover, fixed assets ratio and weakly correlated with fixed asset turnover, return on sales. These evidences provide useful new insights for business managers and governmental authorities.

Using data from the 2018 Vietnam Household Living Standard Survey, the current study ex-amines factors associated with housing conditions in rural Vietnam. We used both descriptive statistics and regression analyses. Controlling for other factors in the regression models, the study finds that households with better education and occupation were more likely to have larger sizes of housing area per person, higher value of the house and permanent houses. Also, the housing conditions are much better for the Kinh population (the ethnic majority) than that for ethnic minorities. In addition, we find that the opportunities for obtaining better housing outcomes vary largely across regions. Our research findings suggest that improving the access of ethnic minorities to education and better job are expected to improve the housing conditions.

The purpose of this research was to determine how cultural aspects or beliefs of agricultural producers such as collectivism, trust, formality in land titling and productive planning influence the associative work of agricultural productive chains. Considering that for many years productive chains have been promoted as a development alternative for small agricultural producers in the Mantaro Valley, they have received training services, technical assistance, market articulation, etc., but very few remain today. The applied and descriptive research was carried out from July 2016 to May 2017 with the participation of 383 agricultural producers from four provinces of the Mantaro Valley, Junín, Peru. The results obtained show that the factors of trust and productive planning directly influence the associative work, while the aspects of collectivism and formality do not influence.
