This research was conducted to investigate the antecedents directly and positively affecting organization’s word-of-mouth towards professional service, primarily in the context of B2B professional general insurance services in Vietnam. The empirical results of this research indicated that five out of seven factors, namely interpersonal skills, premium, technical skills, reputation and risk coverage had both significantly positive direct and indirect effects on organization’s word-of-mouth with the mediation role of organization’s perceived service quality. Based on the empirical results, it is suggested that insurers should improve organization’s perceived service quality, and thereby enhance their word-of-mouth behavior.

Due mainly to the importance of organizational commitment for both employees and employers, it has been the subject attracting researchers over the last few decades. Therefore, the paper aims to build a model of antecedents strengthening organizational commitment. First, the paper reviews six main concepts including organizational commitment, intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, employee voice, organizational identification and perceived organizational support. Next, Five-point Likert scale is used to measure those factors with two hundred and forty-nine fulltime Vietnamese employees who are working at 34 Vietnamese organizations from a variety of sectors such as tax, banking, health service, airlines, education and business. Finally, quantitative research is obtained by using EFA, CFA analysis and structural equation modeling. The findings show that three prominent factors positively affecting organizational commitment are intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and organizational identification.

This study is based on the results of a survey of 518 start-ups in Vietnam during the period of establishment from 2016 to 2018. Data collection lasted from November 2019 to May 2020, interrupted by Covid-19 translation and collected data were processed on SPSS20 and AMOS24 software, model estimation and hypothesis testing using linear structural equations (SEM). The research results show that business strategy and market-oriented factors had positive impacts on the performance of Vietnamese startups. However, no regulatory relationship of business strategy has been found that affects the impact relationship of market orientation with business performance. In addition, the study also found that, in current context, startups pursuing defensive strategies have more success than firms pursuing pioneering strategies and startups in the field. Trade / services are more likely to succeed than in agriculture and industry.

This study evaluates the factors affecting digital transformation for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hanoi city. The research team determined the factors affecting digital transformation for small and medium enterprises based on some models such as the Theory of reasoned action (TRA), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theoretical of planned behavior (TPB), C-TAM-TPB model and Unified Model of Technology Adoption and Use. The research results identify the model of factors that affect the argument transformation SMEs in Hanoi city, including (1) Perceived usability; (2) Perceived behavioral control; (3) Social influence; (4) Expected efficiency, (5) Convenient conditions and (6) Risks existing in digital transformation. The results also show that there are 6 factors affecting the implementation of the credit union of SMEs in Hanoi city, of which 5 factors have positive effects and 1 factor has negative effects. In addition, the results also show that there are certain differences in the intentions and decisions of digital transformation between different types of enterprises.

This paper uses the DCC-GARCH and Value at Risk (VaR) model to analyze the fluctuation, linkage, and price volatility risk among coffee price series in the period of 2004 - 2020. In terms of the fluctuation, the study points out, the volatility of Vietnamese coffee price and the price of Robusta coffee in two markets were affected by two ARCH terms and GARCH terms at 1 percent level. Meanwhile, the coffee price of Brazil and Colombia is only impacted by the ARCH term. The linkage between Brazil and Colombia is the biggest. The average coefficient linkage among Vietnam with two main competitors is relatively small. In terms of price volatility risk, the price volatility risk of Vietnamese coffee is the smallest and the biggest risk is belonging to Brazilian coffee price. The results obtained would be a valuable reference for stakeholders, policymakers, coffee processing and exporting enterprises, and coffee farmers to clearly understand the fluctuation and linkage among coffee export price series, and thereby have appropriate and effective solutions and strategies in price volatility risk management to sustainable development.

The study provides the forecasts of expected returns based on cross-sectional estimates from the Fama-Macbeth regressions in the United Kingdom. We collected the data of listed firms on the London Stock Exchange on the DataStream from January 1980 to December 2020. We analyze the data sample by employing three cross-sectional models' ten-year rolling estimates of Fama-Macbeth slopes. The empirical findings demonstrate that an investor can derive a composite estimate of the expected return by integrating various company-specific variables in real-time. Model 1 indicates that the expected-return estimates have a predictive slope for future monthly returns of 95.07%, with a standard error of 0.1981. Moreover, model 2 and model 3 report the predictability of returns are 77.57% and 76.94%. In short, our empirical evidence suggests that investors and stakeholders may consider using model 1 to estimate the cost of equity due to its simplicity and effective prediction capability. Our findings are consistent with trade-off theory and prior literature.

This study aims to investigate the impact of the family factors on scholastic achievements of students in high schools and universities in Vietnam. The primary data is collected from the 538 students through an online questionnaire. We apply one empirical model with the support of SPSS and STATA to test the family determinants of academic attainments-GPA. We find that there are three factors which impact on GPA of these: Age gap, Income of the families, Negative reactions of parents to their child’s low-performed results in academic performance. The research results show that all three factors can explain for 8% with the changes in GPA of learners. While the age gap between parents and their children has minor positive effects on academic performances, family income is significantly and positively correlated to GPA. This is the reason why students from opulent families often perform better than those of more meager families.

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting students’ attitudes and entrepreneurial intention. Quantitative approach was mainly applied with structured questionnaires directly delivered to 2,141 senior students and newly graduates from twelve universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The empirical results show that social norms, personal traits of openness to new experiences, extraversion, conscientiousness, and positive attitudes directly and indirectly affected entrepreneurial intention. In addition, agreeableness and negative attitudes negatively affected entrepreneurial intention. Based on the findings, discussions and practical implications were suggested for improving educational programs that promote the nurture of talented entrepreneurs for the country.

Businesses play an important role in the economy in most countries. Businesses contribute to increased productivity, output and jobs for the economy. Therefore, governments of countries always create favorable business environments to help businesses operate more efficiently, and thereby contribute to the economy. Transforming the industrial revolution 4.0 has brought businesses certain benefits to operations, improving productivity and efficiency. Using data in real estate businesses, through regression analysis, the research results confirm the technology factor has not yet affected the financial performance of enterprises, which can show that businesses need enough time to absorb technology in production activities to have a change in its output. In addition, there exists the negative relationship of leverage in the business and financial performance. Or it can also be confirmed that enterprises that choose their own capital are often more effective than enterprises that choose capital from loans and external financing. The study also confirms that enterprises with the ability to manage total asset turnover have higher financial efficiency. However, the research shows that interest rates have a negative effect on business operations, businesses with high interest rates have a negative effect on business operations, and vice versa.

This study represents a survey data of 466 community-based tourism establishments in the northern provinces of Vietnam such as, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang etc., with strongly developed community-based tourism activities based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). The results show that perceived ease of use of e-commerce has a positive and strong impact compared to perceived effectiveness of e-commerce on the intention to apply e-commerce to marketing communication activities in the supply chain of community-based tourism in Vietnam. In addition, if community-based tourism businesses perceive themselves as being modern, it will positively affect the perception of the ease of use and effectiveness of e-commerce, thereby indirectly bringing about a positive impact on the intention to apply e-commerce. Conversely, if they perceive themselves being traditional, it will negatively affect this relationship. Accordingly, this study helps provide practical evidence for promoting the application of e-commerce in tourism in remote, economically difficult areas in Vietnam and elsewhere. Nonetheless, the study remains limited when it has not been done a multi-group analysis to consider different influences of the factors of region, destination characteristics, type of tourism on intention to apply e-commerce for marketing communication activities in community-based tourism establishments.
