The aim of this research paper is to assess intrinsic and extrinsic motivational orientations between the public and the private sector for high school teachers toward teaching as a profession. A sample of teachers were chosen from the public and the private school in Jordan (N=204). Four hypotheses were tested using independent-samples T-test, the result shows that private school teachers were more motivated by extrinsic compensation motives and extrinsic outward motives, while public school teachers were more motivated by intrinsic challenge motives and intrinsic enjoyment motives. The authors found out that private school teachers perceived themselves motivated by money and rewards, to be better than their colleagues in doing their job and need to have a recognition for their performance at their work. Public school teachers perceived themselves as enjoying tackling new problems and solving complex and difficult problems and considered their job as very important to them.

In the current COVID-19 pandemic, this paper attempts to empirically find out the increasing workplace bullying effect on project performance with employee deviant behaviour as a mediator, internal, and external locus of control as moderators. The random sampling technique was used to gather data from 777 employees, working in construction companies in Pakistan. The examination was established using WarpPLS software version 7.0. The results revealed that workplace bullying is positively associated with employee deviant behaviour which in return negatively affects the project performance. It can be inferred from the results that the “moderating role” of internal “locus of control” is insignificant; whereas the external “locus of control” significantly moderates the relationship between workplace bullying & employee deviant behaviour. The proposed research and hypotheses support social exchange theory and social behaviour exchanges. This study has clarified some unique points that are equally important for the managers, employees, and project-based construction organization as a whole. It is also recommended that once the pandemic COVID-19 passes, it would be the dire need of that time to re-evaluate that, what has been changed in terms of professional thinking, working & behaving as for as their project work and communication between the team members is concerned.

This research intends to explore the relationship between subjective and objective environmental knowledge and green products purchase intention and if green products purchase intention leads to green products actual purchase behavior in the context of UAE consumers. It also intends to explore the moderating effect of Price consciousness on the relationship between green products purchase intention and green products actual purchase behavior. A self-administered questionnaire used to collect the data about the study variables, 186 respondents from UAE participated in this research and data analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22. The findings of this research indicate that Subjective and Objective Environmental Knowledge were determinants of Green Products Purchase Intention, and that Purchase Intention was positively and significantly associated with actual Purchase Behavior. No significant relationship found of price consciousness as a moderator.

This study investigates the dynamic relationship between a set of banking sector development indicators and interest rate volatility for 12 emerging market countries during the period of 1980-2019. For this purpose, the bounds testing within autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) methodology is employed. The empirical results reveal that the interest rate volatility has negative impacts on the majority of the banking sector development indicators which also play a significant role in dampening the banking sector development path in the long-run. These findings suggest that the banking sectors of emerging countries are vulnerable to interest rate risks. Thus, the results have important implications for policymakers to improve the banking system and to promote economic growth of emerging economies.

The aim of this study is to explore the impact of intellectual capital on the achievement of competitive advantage in organizations. It also aims to explore the mediating impact of innovation on the relationship between intellectual capital and the achievement of competitive advantage. To meet the study’s goals, the researchers reviewed the relevant literature. The researchers also provide definitions for intellectual capital and innovation. They also identified the dimensions of intellectual capital (i.e. structural, human and relational capital). The study identified the types of innovation (incremental and radical innovation) and found that intellectual capital significantly influences on the achievement of competitive advantage. Moreover, the study found that innovation has a mediating influence on the relationship between intellectual capital and the achievement of a competitive advantage.

In today's rapidly changing and interconnected world, governments are aware that they need to adapt their operations to effectively navigate the complexities they face. To address these challenges and operate more efficiently, governments must forge partnerships, embrace innovation, demonstrate effective leadership, and, most importantly, cultivate a skilled workforce. Recognizing this need, this study focuses on examining the impact of Agile HRMS on organizational performance within the Dubai government. To investigate this relationship, a survey was conducted involving 107 employees from various government departments in Dubai. The results of the survey revealed significant and positive correlations between all the dimensions of Agile HRMS (namely, Agile talent acquisition, Agile employee engagement, and Agile learning and development) and organizational performance. These findings underscore the significance of adopting Agile HRMS approaches in enhancing the professional development and effectiveness of government operations. Therefore, it is recommended that policymakers within the government sector adopt and integrate Agile HRMS practices, as doing so can create an environment conducive to increased productivity and success across these organizations.

This research focuses on the moderating effect of culture on the relationships between KMS and other variables affecting KMS in the service industry. The effects of a number of variables on KMS were examined via analysis and hypothesis testing. These variables included culture; people; process; strategy; and technology. The results show that culture and people have a substantial impact on KMS's performance, emphasizing the need of cultivating a supportive company culture and empowering employees. Furthermore, strategy and technology were shown to be critical in allowing effective knowledge management practices in the service industry. The research also investigates the moderating impacts of culture on these linkages, demonstrating that culture modulates the impact of process, technology, and strategy on KMS. However, it was shown that the interplay between culture and people did not substantially alter the link between people and KMS. These results provide useful insights for firms looking to improve their knowledge management methods, underlining the need to take culture into account and aligning it with strategic goals and technology solutions. While the study adds to our understanding of knowledge management in the service industry, further research is needed to investigate other elements and situations. Overall, this research has practical significance for firms looking to enhance their knowledge management activities and overall organizational performance.

The objective of this study was to showcase the influence of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, Data Mining (DM), Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), and Document Management Systems (DMS), on maintaining the quality of financial reports in Jordanian commercial banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. Two approaches were employed to achieve the research objectives: a descriptive-analytical approach involving the development of a questionnaire to gather primary data on the independent variables associated with BI tools (OLAP, ETL, DM, RDBMS, DMS), and an applied approach to evaluate the dependent variable represented by the sustainability of financial report quality, utilizing the financial statements of commercial banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange from (2016 to 2021). Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using statistical software (SPSS) through multiple regression analysis. The results of the statistical data analysis and input from the research community indicated that the sustainability of financial report quality, as a valuable asset for banks, relies on the utilization of Business Intelligence tools. IT professionals in commercial banks perceive a statistically significant impact of BI tools on maintaining the quality of financial reports. Consequently, the management of commercial banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange should prioritize the effective utilization of Business Intelligence tools, as their potential lies in aiding the accounting process to achieve its objectives, which ultimately contribute to the sustainability of financial reports. By employing these tools accurately and efficiently in accounting practices, all stages of the accounting process can be influenced, enabling the transformation of available data into information that benefits decision-makers both internally and externally within the banking environment.

This article examines the possibility of answering the question” can the Arab’s natural gas secure the gas requirements in Europe? “To answer the question, an economic analysis of natural gas was conducted to examine reserve, supply, demand, and international trade first. Second, an economic model to examine distances and transportation costs, for transferring goods from various points of supply to various points of demand, was adopted. The North-West Corner model approach, a QM for Windows-based economic strategy to solve the transportation model problem structure in linear programming, has been used in this regard. Our findings demonstrate that the model is suitable for application since it provides the least distances and the least transportation costs compared to other alternatives. The model estimated that a cost of $309.41 is required to transfer one MMBtu of LNG from origins to final destinations. A decrease of $34.304/MMBtu, 10%, compared to $343.714 /MMBtu. It is concluded that the Arab’s gas could fulfil gas requirements in Europe, and mutual benefit can be accomplished for both parties. European countries will benefit from acquiring new places with less distances and lower delivery costs, and Arab countries would have the chance to get new consumers and play a role in the market given their collective gas reserves and their advantageous strategic locations.

This research examines the synergistic influence of inventory competition, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and digital marketing intensity on quality improvement decisions within contemporary supply chains. With a focus on enhancing product and service quality, we investigate the intricate relationships among these variables. A quantitative approach involving 380 supply chain professionals reveals that heightened inventory competition, increased AI adoption, and robust digital marketing significantly contribute to quality enhancement initiatives. The study builds upon prior research by empirically validating these connections and offers practical insights for supply chain practitioners. The findings underscore the strategic imperative of organizations to strategically balance these factors to optimize their quality management strategies, fostering customer satisfaction and competitiveness. While offering valuable contributions, the study acknowledges limitations in terms of self-reported data and a specific respondent group. Future research could extend this investigation to diverse industries and geographical contexts. In the end, this study sheds light on the complex interplay that exists between inventory competition, the use of AI, digital marketing, and judgments about quality improvement. As a result, a road map has been provided for efficient quality management of supply chains in the digital age.
