The paper investigates performance persistence in both Islamic focused (IFFs) and conventional focused fund families (CFFs) in four emerging markets (Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan) from 2007 to 2021 using contingency tables. In the overall sample, we find that positive (negative) persistence in IFFs (CFFs) exists only in the short-run (one-month). At the country level, IFFs demonstrate positive persistence up to one month in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia and six months in Malaysia. For CFFs, negative persistence appears up to one month in Malaysia and six months in Indonesia. Surprisingly, the positive persistence of Indonesian IFFs changes to negative persistence in six months, before disappearing completely later. This result confirms the existence of short-run persistence for both IFFs and CFFs. This study presents new evidence for the persistent performance of fund families in emerging markets.

In today's competitive business environment, the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies is essential for firms to succeed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between CRM, customer satisfaction, and business profitability in the Jordanian logistics industry. Specifically, the study examines how customer satisfaction mediates the effect of three key CRM on business profitability. To achieve this, Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze data collected from 384 employees of logistics firms in Jordan. The results of the study suggest that CRM positively affects customer satisfaction, and that customer satisfaction has a significant mediating effect on the relationship between CRM and business profitability. The findings of this study have important implications for logistics firms seeking to improve their business profitability through the adoption of CRM. By focusing on the three key CRM (Customer Identification, Customer Acquisition, and Customer Analytics), firms can improve their customer satisfaction levels, which, in turn, can lead to improved business profitability. This study adds to the growing body of literature on CRM practices and their impact on business profitability, particularly in the context of the Jordanian logistics industry.

This study aims to examine the mediating role of social media marketing effectiveness in the relationship between customer engagement dimensions (cognitive, emotional, behavioral, transactional, and social) and brand loyalty in the context of Amazon as a retail brand store. A quantitative approach was adopted, employing a survey-based method to collect data from 320 consumers who engage with Amazon as a retail brand store on social media platforms. Findings reveal positive effects of cognitive, emotional, transactional, and social engagement on brand loyalty and social media marketing effectiveness. However, behavioral engagement exhibited a negative impact. Social media marketing effectiveness positively influenced brand loyalty and mediated the relationships between customer engagement dimensions and brand loyalty. This study contributes to literature by challenging assumptions and providing insights into the interplay among customer engagement dimensions, social media marketing effectiveness, and brand loyalty. This offers brands the opportunity to promote and increase their awareness with the use of social media to interact with existing customer base that will boost loyalty in the long run. Only a few studies have examined social media marketing effectiveness as a mediator between customer engagement dimensions and brand loyalty. Therefore, this work endeavors to fill this gap by investigating consumer engagement, social media marketing and brand loyalty in an age when the internet plays an important role.

The present research investigates the use of omnichannel retailing and its influence on the Jordanian market, focusing on four important dimensions: integration, fulfilment, usability, and seamlessness. This study attempts to answer how strategies of omnichannel affect purchase-decisions and satisfaction of customers among students at private universities in Jordan as expectations for integrated purchase experiences that combine physical and digital channels continue to rise. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), this study empirically examines the relationships between various dimensions of omnichannel retailing and consumer decision-making. The findings reveal that strong integration across sales channels, fast delivery options, simple interfaces, and seamless transitions significantly enhance consumer decision-making. This underscores the importance of robust infrastructure facilities, dependable information availability options, flexible fulfillment methods, user-friendly interface designs as well as a smooth customer support system which all together make for a great shopping experience. Thus, local retailers are given clear recommendations to invest in current systems by diversifying their delivery alternatives, improving mobile platforms, and using data analytics to match marketing efforts. The main focus of this paper is effective merchandising practices that can help retailers connect with consumers effectively during changing market situations. Moreover, there are several lessons from this research for businesses operating under stiff competition but with the increasing needs of modern-day consumers.

Innovation is a crucial driver of competitive advantage and long-term success, particularly in the dynamic Information Systems and Computer Science Service industry. This study investigates the relationships between organizational learning constructs (organizational memory, knowledge acquisition, knowledge interpretation, and knowledge distribution), organizational trust, and innovation performance within Information Systems and Computer Science Service Firms in Jordan. Recognizing the potential mediating role of organizational trust, the study aims to provide insights into the mechanisms that enable effective translation of organizational learning into innovation outcomes. The study employs a quantitative research design using a cross-sectional survey approach. In this study, the data was gathered from 468 participants from Information Systems and Computer Science Service companies in Jordan, consisting of both senior managers and department heads, and the people involved in organizational learning and innovation processes. The analysis shows that organizational memory, knowledge collection and knowledge interpretation have direct impacts on innovations’ performance, but knowledge distribution does not contribute to this performance. Primarily, organizational trust works as the mediating factor that allows the innovation constructs of organizational learning to improve throughput sizes. The evidence also shows that competent learning is a prerequisite for organizational trust.

The study aimed to define the contribution of total quality management in relations with suppliers and customers in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies. The study population consisted of pharmaceutical companies in Jordan targeting individuals in supervisory positions in these companies. A total of 170 responses were received. The results of the study found that Jordanian pharmaceutical companies apply total quality management in terms of “commitment of senior management, employee empowerment, strategic planning for quality”, which had positive relationships with suppliers and customers. It indicates that total quality management and supply chain practices, especially the relationship with suppliers and customers, are among the basic concepts that work to improve supply chain performance. The study recommends devoting the necessary attention and care to empowering workers, and this is where the essential role-play for senior management is to create interest among employees in their work and jobs through training programs. However, developing methods of collective motivation, participating in setting goals, making decisions, and displaying the image of the work “Family” and forming problem-solving teams for the purpose of achieving empowerment is also important.

Even though entrepreneurial firms make substantial contributions to both domestic and global economies and innovations, there is disagreement in the literature regarding how open innovation affects these firms' ability to succeed. The current research is an attempt to address the gaps by analyzing the intricacies and dynamics of entrepreneurial firms’ involvement in Open Innovation. Furthermore, the impact on performance is examined from a knowledge perspective. In Jordanian context, this study analyzed the link between stakeholder interactions, knowledge management, open innovation, and the performance of entrepreneurial firms. The findings demonstrated that open innovation activities are statistically significant to the overall performance of entrepreneurial firms. However, since it has an unintentional detrimental effect over the performance of entrepreneurial firms in Jordan, the moderating effect of stakeholder relations and the mediation effect of knowledge management has been analyzed. The moderating role of stakeholder relationships has been proven statistically which enriched the theoretical foundations of RBV and contingency theory by adding stakeholders’ theory into the combination of the two theories, at the end limitations and guidelines for future research along with practical implications are emphasized.

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to explore the nexus of technology applications and innovation performance within the realm of supply chain management (SCM). Despite the increasing importance of smart supply chain management in modern organizations, there is a paucity of research dedicated to this intersection. The primary objective is to identify trends, research gaps, and emerging themes in the literature concerning SSCM, technology applications, and innovation performance. Leveraging the Web of Science database, bibliometric analysis is employed to analyze existing literature, revealing insights into strategies for harnessing technology-driven innovations in SCM. By embracing sustainability principles, companies can position themselves as leaders in an increasingly interconnected and environmentally conscious world, generating long-term value for both them and society.

The paper aimed to examine the impact of corporate governance on the financial performance of commercial banks in Jordan. The variables used to measure corporate governance were the board of directors' size, independent members of the board of directors, and the number of audit committee members, while those used to measure financial performance were return on investment, return on equity and earnings per share. The study used a quantitative approach based on the data of 12 commercial banks in Jordan during the period 2005-2022. The panel data were analyzed using the EViews software based on the ordinary least squares time series technique. The paper found the effect of all corporate governance variables on both return on investment and return on equity. However, it indicated that the board of directors' size and the independent members of the board of directors had an impact on earnings per share. This study highlighted corporate governance variables in one of the significant sectors of developing economies. Moreover, it recommended the need to review the principles used in selecting members of the audit committee for commercial banks in Jordan, due to their importance in developing long-term financial performance.

The objective of the current study is to explore how certain attributes of chief executive officers (CEOs), such as their innovativeness, knowledge of information systems (IS), and trust in technology and technological factors (Compatibility, relative advantage, and complexity) on the utilization of accounting information systems (AIS) in companies across various industries in Jordan. The research gathered data through a structured questionnaire, which included a 7-point scale. The respondents were CEO/owner of small, medium, and large enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan. A total of 315 valid responses were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The findings indicated a significant and positive correlation between complexity, compatibility, CEOs trust in technologies, CEOs information system (IS) knowledge, and the utilization of AIS. However, CEO innovativeness and relative advantage have an insignificant impact on AIS use. The present study is the first to examine CEO characteristics in the AIS context. The practical and theoretical implications derived from the empirical findings of this study offer valuable insights for managers and practitioners. These insights aim to enhance their understanding of the fundamental factors crucial for the successful implementation of AIS in companies, ultimately contributing to improved firm performance.
