The white mango scale insect Aulacaspis tubercularis (Newstead) (Hemiptera: Diaspididae), which causes defoliation, drying out of young twigs, dieback, poor flowering, and decreased fruit output, causes serious damage to mango trees in Egypt. Attacks on mango fruits result in pink imperfections that lower their value as a commercial and export item. The current report aims to support the development of integrated management plans to combat A. tuberculosis and to identify more effective, eco-friendly insecticides. The bug may cause a considerable decrease in mango production and jeopardize the sustainability of mango plantation production if no management measures are taken. Currently, the application of a small number of insecticides—the majority of which have poor performance and are disruptive is the primary method used to manage A. tubercularis. In order to suppress this insect, we created novel pesticides called insect growth regulators (N, N′-substituted benzamide derivatives). By using both traditional and elemental spectroscopic investigations (IR, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR), these synthesized compounds which are linked to the most well-known insect growth regulator insecticides had their structures validated. The findings showed that A. tubercularis nymphs were more responsive to the evaluated treatments than adult females. After one day of application, all tested treatments resulted in a sizable proportion of mortality; the percentage of mortality increased with time for both A. tubercularis nymphs and adult females. Furthermore, the treatment with compound 3b was more effective than other synthesized compounds, with a LC50 of 0.318 ppm against nymphs and a LC50 of 0.993 ppm against adult females of A. tubercularis. While the treatment with compound 5 was the least toxic for controlling this pest, many assessments are essential to studying the efficacy of these treatments on advantageous insects.

2-Indolinone nucleus is considered one of a promising heterocyclic core in medicinal chemistry that showed numerous range of activity among which antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiviral, antitubercular and anticancer activities. Cancer targeting is still an issue so there is a need for developing new agents that inhibit cancer growth without or low effect on normal body cells. Some derivatives of indolin-2-one are known to be a critical structure in some inhibitors of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs); a cancer target therapy, for example, Sunitinib. Herein in this review we focus on 2-indolinone derivatives as RTKs inhibitors as cancer targeting therapy.

The following work could bring new insights into the application of heterocyclic N, N′-substituted thiobenzamide derivatives as novel pesticides. Insect growth regulators such as chitin synthesis inhibitors seem promising because of their specific mode of action on insects and their lower toxicity against vertebrates than conventional insecticides. Thus, a novel series of thiobenzamide derivatives have been prepared in a pure state. The structure of these synthesized compounds which related to the most famous insect growth regulator insecticides, were confirmed by elemental and modern spectroscopic analyses (IR, UV, ¹HNMR and ₁₃CNMR). Toxicological and biochemical parameters of the synthesized compounds against the cotton leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis under laboratory conditions were also investigated. Regarding the determined LC₅₀ value for compound 2,4-Dichloro-N-[(2-methoxyphenyl)carbamothioyl]- benzamide 14 showed the most potent toxic effects than the other synthetic target compounds, with LC50 46.84 ppm of 2nd instar larvae and LC50 148.05of the 4th instar larvae.

This manuscript reports the preparation and toxicological efficacy testing of nine oxoimidazolidine and cyanoguanidine compounds (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f, 3g 4a, and 4b) against cowpea aphid, Aphis craccivora Koch. Bioefficacy data revealed that the tested compounds exhibited a range of toxicological activities against these insects, with compound 3b being the most toxic and compound 4a being the least effective. The LC50 value of compound 3b was 1.72 ppm for adults and 0.02 ppm against nymphs of the cowpea aphid, while the LC₅₀ value of compound 4a was 72.51 ppm for adults and 18.02 ppm against nymphs. The manuscript also presents the structure-activity relationships of these compounds. These results provide valuable insights into the development of effective pest control agents for the management of such insects.

This work includes the synthesis of ten heterocyclic compounds (3a-i and 4) containing pyrimidine moiety incorporated in their structures. Structure characterizations of these compounds were performed by using elemental and spectroscopic analyses. Their toxicity as potential insecticidal agents against the adults and nymphs of cowpea Aphid, Aphis craccivora Koch was evaluated. The results of this toxicological activity test revealed that a reasonable number of these compounds possess excellent toxicological activity against cowpea aphids such as compounds (3d), (3c), and (3b) with LC50 values 0.0125, 0.0134, and 0.0383 ppm, respectively. The toxicological activities of the rest of the tested compounds ranged from good to moderate against the same insects.

In this study, seven cyano-benzylidene and bisbenzylidene derivatives were designed and synthesized. All synthesized compounds were evaluated to determine their insecticidal activities as potential insecticides against nymphs and adults of Aphis nerii. These efforts led to the discovery of compounds 3a-d, 5, 7 and 10 with potent insecticidal activity (LC50 range from 0.0141 to 3.4351ppm). Compound 5 exhibited the highest insecticidal potency with 0.0141ppm. In addition, it indicated that compound 3b is less toxic than benzylidene and other precursors. Therefore, our results suggest that compound 5 has strong potential as a candidate component for developing a novel eco-friendly insecticide for control Aphids.

The behavior of bispyribac-sodium and metribuzin herbicides was investigated into alluvial soil. Effect of pH, temperature, and particle size of soil on the sorption process was studied. Sorption isotherms by bulk soil and its sand, silt, clay and humic acid (HA) fractions were quantified using the batch equilibration technique. The results showed that sorption of herbicides tested was significantly affected by temperature and was a spontaneous interfacial process into soil. Freundlich equation accurately predicted the sorption behavior of two herbicides. Thermodynamic parameters summarized that the negative values of the standard free energy changes (ΔG˚) were obtained therefore, the adsorption of tested pesticides in soil was spontaneous and small negative values indicate the sorption is physical in nature involving weak forces of attraction. The negative ΔH˚ value, indicating metribuzin and bispyribac-sodium interactions are exothermic processes and products are energetically stable with a high binding of compound to soil sites. There was an increase in the entropy of tested pesticides-soil systems as shown by positive values of ΔS˚. The highest adsorption in soil was at pH 5 for bispyribac-sodium and at pH 7 for metribuzin. The sorption of metribuzin and bispyribac-sodium were significantly greater on HA fraction followed by clay fraction than the bulk soil. The KF and Kd values increase with decreasing particle size particularly in the case of adsorption of metribuzin.

In our work we study the toxic effects of the prepared pyridine and pyradazine derivatives. Five compounds have been synthesized in pure state as reported procedures, and their toxicity as potential insecticidal agents against adult and nymphs of Aphis nerii were screened. The toxicity data in adults, exhibited that compound 6a is more toxic than other synthesized compounds, which LC50 was1.04 ppm while, in nymph compound 4a is more toxic than other synthesized compounds, which LC₅₀ was 0.02 ppm. The other screened compounds showed weak to strong toxicological activity. The structure-activity relationships (SAR) for these compounds were also discussed.

A field experiment was carried out to calculate the effect of thermal requirements and its relation to the yield and chemical content of sugar beet during two growing seasons in Upper Egypt. The temperature effects on sodium, potassium, and alpha - amino nitrogen contents. There was a high correlation between growing degree days (GDD) of three harvesting dates and three sugar beet varieties. The results indicated that increasing harvesting date increased roots and sugar yields.

Plant growth regulators (PGR), also known as plant hormones, are a variety of chemical compounds that have a significant impact on the development and differentiation of plant cells. This work aimed to study the effect of various combinations of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) for example [6-Benzyladenine (BA), 2,4-dichlorophenoxyaceticg acid (2,4-D), Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and indol-3-ylbutyric acid (IBA)] on callus induction and shoot regeneration from anther culture of S1 progenies resulted from Manfalouty cultivar open pollinated. The results showed that highest value of percentage of callus induction was 10.6% on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg / l of NAA and 2 mg / l of BA also highest value of percentage of shoot formation 60 % on MS medium supplemented with 3 mg/ l of NAA and 2 mg /l of BA.
