Abstract:

This paper presents an exploratory factor analysis on knowledge management and organizational innovation items influencing on organizational strategy. The study designs a questionnaire in Likert scale and distributes it among 210 employees in an insurance firm named Dana located in Iran. Cronbach alpha has been well above 0.90, which confirms the validity of the overall survey. Using principle component analysis, the study extracts six critical success factors influencing on knowledge management including knowledge management processes, organizational culture, organizational structure, human resources, information technology, top management support and three factors of innovation including product innovation, process innovation, and organizational performance.

Abstract:

During the past two decades, there have been tremendous changes on development of information technology (IT). People may do their daily activities using different IT based products such as email, search engines, video conferences, etc. This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the relationship between IT facilities and knowledge management lifecycle components including, knowledge generation, knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage, knowledge transmission and knowledge usage. The study has accomplished among 150 randomly selected people who work for social security organization in city of Esfahan, Iran. Using structural equation modeling, the study has determined that there were positive and meaningful relationship between IT facilities and all components of knowledge management lifecycle.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation on new product development (NPD) using a hybrid of quality function deployment (QFD) and analytical network process (ANP). The study is accomplished in one of the biggest auto producers in Iran named Saipa. The study examines whether or not NDP influences positively on critical success factors (CSF) and knowledge management (KM). The study also examines whether KM influences on success of NPD. Using some statistical tests, the study confirms that NDP influences on CSF and KM and there is a positive and meaningful relationship between KM and success of NPD. In addition, the study has prioritized various factors for development of new product development and determined that “technology application consistent with customer’s needs” as well as “Having various meetings with different departments” are the most important factors for the success of new product development.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the effects of knowledge management on organizational learning. The study is held in headquarter of technical and vocational training organization in city of Tehran, Iran. The proposed study measures the effects of concept of management, management, knowledge tools, measurement, change management and knowledge content on organizational learning. The study designs a questionnaire in Likert scale and selects a sample of 313 people randomly from 1680 people who work for this organization in city of Tehran, Iran. Using structural equation modeling, the study has detected a positive and meaningful relationship with knowledge management on organizational learning. In our survey, knowledge content is the most important factor followed by change management.

Abstract:

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the inter-relationship among the indices that influence on knowledge sharing systems in lessons learned systems. To do this, while reviewing the literature, the researchers first identified the indices affecting KSS; then, they collected the related data through the use of a researcher-devised questionnaire. The results of surveying the indices of knowledge sharing system based on DEMATEL system analysis indicated that there were systemic relationships with the predominant characteristic of impressibility among the indices of the system. Investigating the internal relationship among the indices of knowledge sharing in learned lessons systems showed that in order to create a positive as well as optimum effect on knowledge sharing processes, the first priority should be updating and reinforcing “communication channels”; also, “reward systems and processes” should be reinforced as the second priority in line with the strengthening of the purposeful process of knowledge sharing system.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation to detect whether knowledge management (KM) promotes learning organization (LO) or vice versa. The proposed study tries to find out the positive influences of KM components including knowledge acquisition, sharing, and utilization with different LOs dimensions. The study was performed among managers and members of societies of software and computer engineering field in city of Tehran, Iran. One time knowledge management processes were seen as independent variable and another time considered as dependent variables. Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used to test the hypothesis. The results show that KM promotes OLs more than OLs promotes KM.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation on how to document some experiments on special and governmental guidance schools managers of Abadan province in Iran. Statistical society of this research includes all education managers and teachers in governmental and nongovernmental guidance schools of Abadan province located in southern part of Iran. The study selects 222 teachers and managers, randomly, and using some questionnaires, we try to find important items to document. The questionnaire covers 6 main groups including students, teachers, school manager, connection with parents, connection with society, education planning. The study finds out whether there was any difference between teachers’ educational background and six groups of people. However, the investigation does not find any difference between teachers’ educational background and six groups of studies.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation to find the important factors influencing implementation of knowledge management in revenue agencies in Iran. The proposed study designs a questionnaire and distributes it among some experts and, using principal component analysis, the study detects important barriers for knowledge management implications. The study selects 170 people from 880 regular employees who work for revenue agency and distributes the questionnaire designed in Likert scale. Cronbach alpha has been determined as 0.70, which is well above the minimum acceptable level. In terms of knowledge management, the study determines six factors including support for creativity and innovation, knowledge sharing, trust, employee promotion plan, mission and training programs and they represent 66.57% of the described factors. In addition, in terms of barriers, job security, cultural issues, individual differences, infrastructure, organizational structure and lack of vision are the most important issues representing 61.98% of the factors.

Abstract:

This paper discusses the relationships between Critical Success Factors (CSF) of knowledge Management (KM) with Competitive Advantage (CA) in automotive industry (Saipa corporate in IRAN). In this research, four categories were used including Human-Oriented factors, Organization, Technology and Management process and their relevant component as independent variables. The research method is based on a descriptive-survey research. The questionnaire includes all CEO and board of director of all firms who worked for Saipa Co, covering 88 companies with 160 managers. To test the hypotheses, SPSS and LISREL software packages were used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistical tests (structural equation modeling, Pearson correlation coefficient) were used. Results taken from structural equation modeling (SEM) proposed measurement model fit and construct validity. Pearson correlation shows there was meaningful relationship between four categories of CSF of KM and CA when the level of significance was 0.001.

Abstract:

This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the effect of knowledge management on job satisfaction in Iranian texture industry. The proposed study of this paper designs a questionnaire and distributes it among 219 out 230 employees who work for one Iranian texture firm in province of Markazi in Iran. The study uses structural equation modeling to examine different hypotheses based on the implementation of LISREL software package. The results of our investigation indicate that knowledge management positively influences on organizational improvement, organizational learning as well as quality improvement. The results of study also indicate that while there was a negative relationship between organizational improvement and job satisfaction, quality improvement and organizational learning positively influence on job satisfaction.
