During the past few years, there have been tremendous efforts on measuring the effects of different factors such as work stress, general heath quality, etc. on performance of employees. In this paper, we present an empirical investigation to study the effects of work stress, general health, organizational intelligence and job satisfaction on employee performance. The proposed study of this paper uses two questionnaires where one is associated with general health quality (GHQ) with 20 questions and the other one consists of 12 questions, which is associated with work stress. The study chooses a sample of 144 employees from 222 people who worked for one of Islamic Azad University in Iran. Cronbach alphas for work stress, general health, organizational intelligence, job satisfaction and organizational performance are 0.911, 0.895, 0.795, 0.863 and, 0.864, respectively. The results indicate that job satisfaction has the highest influence on organizational performance followed by other factors.

This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the effect of knowledge management on job satisfaction in Iranian texture industry. The proposed study of this paper designs a questionnaire and distributes it among 219 out 230 employees who work for one Iranian texture firm in province of Markazi in Iran. The study uses structural equation modeling to examine different hypotheses based on the implementation of LISREL software package. The results of our investigation indicate that knowledge management positively influences on organizational improvement, organizational learning as well as quality improvement. The results of study also indicate that while there was a negative relationship between organizational improvement and job satisfaction, quality improvement and organizational learning positively influence on job satisfaction.

Job satisfaction plays an important role on increasing business productivity and efficiency. This paper presents an empirical investigation to study the relationship between job satisfaction and employees’ personal characteristics including gender, marital status, etc. The proposed study designs a questionnaire and distributes it among 244 out of 800 employees who worked for cement industry in Iran. The data are analyzed using different statistical tests such as t-student and analysis of variance. The results indicate that while there was not any meaningful relationship between gender and job satisfaction there was some meaningful relationship between marital status and job satisfaction.

A healthy and good work condition is often involved with other factors such as leadership style, management, etc. In this paper, we present an empirical investigation to study the effects of the quality of work life on job satisfaction. The study uses a standard questionnaire and distributes it among all 86 full time employees of two governmental agencies in Iran, Supreme Audit Court and Interior Ministry, and Cronbach alphas has been calculated as 0.92. The main hypothesis of this survey considers the relationship between job satisfaction and quality of work life and there. There are also eleven sub-hypotheses associated with this survey including fair and sufficient payment, safe and healthy work conditions, equal job opportunities, rule of law, service training, integration and social cohesion, human development capabilities, organizational structure, delegation of authority, job satisfaction and employee participation. The results of survey have confirmed that there were some meaningful relationships between the quality of work life on job satisfaction in both organizations.

Job satisfaction plays an essential role on having happy society since people may have better lives when they fully satisfied with their jobs. In this paper, we present an empirical study to investigate the effect of marital status as well as educational background on job satisfaction. The study performs the study among university employees of Khomeinishar branch located in province of Esfahan, Iran and all questions are designed in Likert scale of 1-5 based on Brayfield & Rothes Index of job satisfaction. Using a sample of 100 people, the study first uses Kolmogrov-Smirnov test and verifies that all data are normally distributed (?=5%). The survey also finds that there is no difference between female and male employees in terms of job satisfaction (?=5%). In addition, the study confirms that marital status has no significance on job satisfaction (?=5%).

Social capital is one of the most important assets of any organization and it plays essential role in reaching organizational objectives. In this paper, we present an empirical study to study the effect of social capital on job satisfaction and citizenship behavior. The proposed study is performed among 240 employees who work for Allameh Tabataba’i University in Iran. The study designs a questionnaire in Likert scale and distributes it among selected employees and, using structural equation modeling, investigates the role of social capital on job satisfaction as well as citizenship behavior. The preliminary results of our survey indicate that social capital positively influences on both mentioned variables.

Job satisfaction plays an essential role on the success of any organizations. In this paper, we present an empirical study to measure the effects of five factors including work conditions, pay, promotion, supervisor and co-worker on job satisfaction. The proposed study is performed among 130 employees who work for one of Iranian transmission electricity in Iran. The study designs a questionnaire in Likert scale and distributes it among selected employees and, at the same time, measured overall job satisfaction from other method. The results of testing different hypotheses indicate that all employees are satisfied from their job (t-student=3.243, P-value=0.01). The study also presents a method to find desirable weights for each component of job satisfaction.

Experiences in recent years about industrial and official system of the Iran and other countries and successful organizations show that human resource plays an important and principal role in economic and social development of countries & organization. Therefore, fundamental investment is considered and principle utilization of it with the increase in productivity level is one of the certain rules in development and advance of a country or organization. The main objective of this study is to examine the job satisfaction of auditors of audit organizations in comparison to accountants in Business enterprise. In addition, the author tries to analyze the effective factors on job satisfaction in two groups to point to essential guidelines and decrease the job quit in this part of society and increase the efficiency of human resource, even very little. Results obtained from the study hypothesis show that range of dissatisfaction among auditors is more than accountants are.

The study performs an empirical survey to measure the impact of stress among people with various gender and marital status in a hydropower unit located in city of Esfahan, Iran. The study performs the survey among all 81 people who were working for customer service section of this company and consists of two parts, in the first part; we gather all private information such as age, gender, education, job experience, etc. through seven important questions. In the second part of the survey, there were 66 questions, which included all the relevant factors impacting employees & apos; stress. We implement two Levin and t-student tests to see whether gender or marital status has any meaningful influences on creating stress among people. The results indicate that gender has no meaningful impact on creating stress among employees who worked for this hydro plant except difficulty of job conditions. The other findings of this paper is that stress posed from management team had different impacts on employees with various marital status but there were no meaningful differences between married and single couples in terms of other factors posing stress such as unsuitable working conditions, fear of job stability or difficulty of job conditions.

Cronbach alpha was calculated as 0.946, which is well above the minimum acceptable level. The implementation of ANOVA and LSD tests have revealed that there are no meaning differences among people with different job titles but people in different age groups maintained various level of stress.
