The primary objective of the research paper is to provide some insights on the concepts of intellec-tual capital and its important dimensions alongside to investigate the possible association between intellectual capital and attainment of competitive advantage. This study focuses on Iraqi hotel industry which is an under-research area in the context of intellectual capital and its relationship with competitive advantage. An adapted questionnaire was utilized to collect the responses from top and middle level managers of four and five-star hotels in Iraq. The reliability and validity of data collec-tion instrument were measured through Cronbach’s alpha, Composite Reliability and Average Var-iance Extracted respectively. The competitive advantage was then regressed against Human, Rela-tional and Structural capital by application of Partial Least Square methodology. Results of the study showed a positive and strong connotation among intellectual capital and attainment of competitive advantage. The human capital had the highest contribution for competitive advantage in hotel sector of Iraq. The top management of hotels should take interest to develop, maintain and retain human capital to attain competitive advantage over competitors.

Mobile Applications offer a new style to service sectors, for instance, in higher education, mobile applications are utilized to provide access to academic resources and academic services. Despite the wealth of mobile applications, they encounter various challenges that have attracted the interest of academia and software developers. The usability issues of mobile applications may cause performance degradation, resulting in the company's loss in terms of cost. This study aims to investigate the usability of the Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) mobile application by adopting data mining as a descriptive and predictive process. The first step was gathering data of the usability of the PSAU mobile application using the system usability scale. Afterwards, data was preprocessed into a suitable format to apply data mining methods. Specifically, the explanatory model has been employed to describe and investigate insights related to the usability factors and features of the PSAU mobile application. Furthermore, this study adopted the Four Clustering methods to segment the usability levels of the PSAU mobile application into homogenous groups based on user behavior. Additionally, the predictive model was used to build models for predicting the usability level and Grade and five classification algorithms were employed to predict the usability level and Grade. Most algorithms have given positive results in all performance indicators, where the accuracy rate achieved is 98% to 95% for most methods. The results revealed that the PSAU mobile application has an acceptable usability level, and the data mining methods helped to discover hidden patterns. Furthermore, the findings will help the developers and policymakers understand users' and stakeholders' behavior to find the most common usability problems for each group, and customize the PSAU mobile application.

Climate change is caused by temperature, rainfall, and wind variation in locations that last a long time. This change can be described and predicted using a spatial model, one of which is the Clustering Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) Kriging model. Therefore, this research aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis in a spatial and Clustering SAR Kriging model on climate change. It presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the development of the Clustering SAR Kriging model, incorporating articles from the Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Dimensions AI, and Scopus databases from 2011-2021. Furthermore, two stages of analysis have been conducted, first, bibliometric analysis was performed for mapping and thematic evolution using VOSviewer software and R-biblioshiny. This analysis generated 185 papers after conducting a duplication check and developed a network of research on evolutionary subject matters at this stage. Second, research subjects were analyzed using the Clustering SAR Kriging model. More screening criteria were followed, and 18 articles were obtained for the SLR analysis. Furthermore, the development of the Clustering SAR Kriging model was observed for the prediction and description of climate change. The results are predicted to benefit applicable businesses to predict climate phenomena in unobserved places.

Phishing websites are characterized by distinguished visual, address, domain, and embedded features, which identify and defend such threats. Yet, phishing website detection is challenged by overlapping these features with legitimate websites’ features. As the inter-class variance between legitimate and phishing websites becomes low, commonly utilized machine learning algorithms suffer from low performance in overlapping feature cases. Alternatively, ensemble learning that combines multiple predictions intending to address low inter-class variations in the classified data improves the performance in such cases. Ensemble learning utilizes multiple classifiers of similar or different types with multiple deviations of the training data. This paper develops a framework based on random forest ensemble techniques. The limitations of the random forest are the inability to capture the high correlation between features and their join dependency on the label. The random forest is combined with k-means clustering to capture the feature correlation. The framework is evaluated for phishing detection with a dataset of 5000 samples. The results showed the proposed framework over-performed the random forest classifier, all other ensemble classifiers, and the conventional classification algorithms. The proposed framework achieved an accuracy of 98.64%, precision of 0.986, recall of 0.987, and F-measure of 0.986.

This study aims to establish Middle East users' perspectives on the major factors that impact their decision to adopt Augmented Reality AR smart glasses (ARSG). Thus, an online questionnaire was designed and sent directly to the respondents, and 584 valid data points were collected from individuals living in the Middle East. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlations and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) techniques using SPSS. Eleven hypotheses were tested using Multiple Regression analysis, where seven independent variables out of eleven were confirmed to have a significant impact on the perceived adoption of ARSG. The results indicate that four of the independent variables including Pre-Market Knowledge, Image, Own privacy and Technology innovativeness show the significant impact on ARSG adoption at the 1% significant level. In addition, the results indicate that three of the social and technological factors include Perceived Ease of use, Perceived usefulness and Other's privacy show the significant effect on ARSG adoption at the 5% significant level. Among the 7 social and technological factors, the results suggest that technology innovation expresses the strongest effect on ARSG adoption with the highest coefficient value of 0.413 (b = 0.413, t = 12.881, ρ < 0.01). Moreover, user intention is significantly impacted by gender and place of living but not by education or age. The research also provides pre-market insights on users' personal types that represent who will most likely adopt the new smart glasses and that differentiate them based on their priorities. To the best of our knowledge, this is among the first works to investigate technology acceptance drivers of AR smart glasses in the Middle East.

Nowadays, many organizations focus on discovering their customers’ hidden patterns to maintain their competitive position through customer analysis. In fact, more and more organizations are realizing that customers are their most valuable resources. This paper performs a research using data associated with 300 clients of an insurance company in city of Anzali, Iran and they are analyzed using K-Means clustering method. Using demographic variables including gender, age, occupation, education level, marital status, place of residence and clients’ incomes, the study determines the optimal numbers of clusters in order to achieve necessary data for grouping customers. Next, the study uses the method of association rules to find hidden patterns for the insurance industry.

Data mining is the technique to find hidden patterns from a very large volume of historical data. Association rule is a type of data mining that correlates one set of items or events with another set of items or events. Another data mining strategy is clustering technique. This technique is used to create partitions so that all members of each set are similar according to a specified set of metrics. Both the association rule mining and clustering helps in more effective individual and group decision making for optimal inventory control. Owing to the above facts, association rules are mined from each cluster to find frequent items and then loss profit is calculated for each frequent item. Initially, the clustering algorithm is used to partition the transactional database into different clusters. Apriori, a classic data mining algorithm is utilized for mining association rules from each cluster to find frequent items. Later the loss profit is calculated for each frequent item. The obtained loss profit is used to rank frequent items in each cluster. Thus, the ranking of frequent items in each cluster using the proposed approach greatly facilitate optimal inventory control. An example is illustrated to validate the results.

Over the past four decades, portfolio selection has been one of the most important con-cerns of researchers, project managers, project-oriented companies, and public agencies around the world. Although numerous studies have been done in this field, still there is a room for more improvement in both theory and practice. One of the yet unspoiled topics in this field is improving and balancing the efficiency of sub-portfolios while paying attention to portfolio optimization. This study employs data-mining tools to categorize projects into sub-portfolios and rank them. Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods are also used to weigh the criteria on which the ranking process is based. Finally, a novel multi-objective model is designed to optimize the efficiency of sub-portfolios and the gain of the main portfolio. The model is solved by NSGA II algorithm. This study introduces a hybrid framework by which project portfolio selection process can be carried out regarding strategic alignment, cost, and risk.

This paper deals with the problem of grouping a set of objects into clusters. The objective is to minimize the sum of squared distances between objects and centroids. This problem is important because of its applications in different areas. In prior literature on this problem, attributes of objects have often been assumed to be crisp numbers. However, since in many realistic situations object attributes may be vague and should better be represented by fuzzy numbers, we are interested in the generalization of the minimum sum-of-squares clustering problem with the attributes being fuzzy numbers. Specifically, we consider the case where an object attribute is a triangular fuzzy number. The problem is first formulated as a fuzzy nonlinear binary integer programming problem based on a newly proposed dissimilarity measure, and then solved by developing and demonstrating a problem-specific ant colony optimization algorithm. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by computational experiments.

Research has been done on evaluating the performance more emphasis either on the technical aspects of the performance evaluation or considers only one aspect of banks such as sales, revenue, etc. This paper presents an empirical investigation to measure the relative efficiency of different banks using a hybrid of K-means and Grey relational analysis. The study uses eight criteria such as resources, customer satisfaction, etc. for clustering different banks and using Grey relational analysis provides ranking of different branches of a bank named Bank Qarzol Hasane Resalat located in city of Tehran, Iran. The preliminary study has indicated that the proposed model of this paper may capable of providing some promising results.
