The study aimed to figure out the effect of the strategic leadership on the intellectual capital, in addition to the mediating role of the knowledge-sharing mediating variable in the Kuwaiti industry companies. To achieve the objectives of the study, the study adopted the descriptive, analytical approach by preparing a questionnaire. After verifying its validity and reliability, the researcher distributed it to a sample of (284) male and female employees in the Kuwaiti industrial companies. After conducting the statistical analysis through the (SPSS) and (Amos V23), the study concluded a statistically significant effect at sig. (α≤0.05) for the strategic leadership on the intellectual capital in the Kuwaiti industrial companies and a statistically significant effect at sig. (α≤0.05) for the strategic leadership of the intellectual capital through knowledge sharing as a mediating variable in the industrial companies in the State of Kuwait.

This study aims to examine the influence of Big Data analytics, innovation & capabilities in the supply chain as well as to find the moderating effect of organisational flexibility on the performance of the supply chain (SCP) and find the effect of competitive intensity as a controlling variable on the performance of supply chain. This research aims to present a theoretical model based on the resource-based theory's relational view (RBV). The data was collected through a survey questionnaire and 25 manufacturer firms managers participate in this survey. According to the findings of this study BDA has a favourable and strong association with SCI and SCC, as well as SCP. The majority of the manufacturers' firms in this research employed BDA to speed up their standing algorithms quicker with massive data sets.

Welding is widely used in all industries, and its demand is drastically increasing. Today, all sectors of engineering need quality welders to meet their standards. Welders need years of experience and knowledge to meet those standards. They require lots of training, equipment, tools, and safety standards to master the welding skill. The cost of training is very expensive as they will be practicing every day with different materials. The purpose of this project is to train them in a new merged-up environment of the virtual and real world. As a result, this method would reduce training costs and enhance the safety of the users. This method is a medium that helps users to have a better understanding of welding operations and gives them the confidence to perform proficiently in reality along with the elimination of risk, liability, and injury.

Electricity systems are currently expanding towards more efficient forms of production. Several expansionary strategies are being developed to cover increases in future electricity demand. Goals such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the efficiency of operations, and achieving more equitable participation of the actors in charge of the investments are set. Following this premise, this paper presents a multi-objective model that helps in decision-making on the problem of expanding electricity generation. The model considers more realistic views than other works in the literature. The vast majority of the stakeholders in the studied field are satisfied with the present proposal. Investment costs, greenhouse emissions, and investment contribution rates are considered. Also, the actual procedures of the generation and transmission stages are rigorously studied. This means obtaining solutions that are closer to reality. The case study is the electricity system of Argentina. The results obtained indicate that the recommended solutions are the most convenient from all points of view. They constitute a mix of the generation with renewable and non-renewable technologies. The case study reveals emission reductions of up to 25% and it can be achieved that the most vulnerable social groups do not have to finance future system expansions.

This study aimed to develop a conceptual model of the mediating role of organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior on the influence of organizational justice on the performance of civil servants in the Pekanbaru Municipal Government. The sample was 147 civil servants in the Pekanbaru Municipal Government. The sampling was done using systematic sampling while the data processing was done using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). The findings in this study are organizational justice has a positive influence on the performance of civil servants in the Pekanbaru Municipal Government, organizational citizenship behavior mediates the influence of organizational justice on the performance of civil servants in the Pekanbaru Municipal Government, organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of organizational justice on the performance of civil servants in the Pekanbaru Municipal Government. The most effective pathway in influencing employee performance is the mediating pathway of organizational citizenship behavior on the influence of organizational justice on the performance of civil servants.

This study focuses on developing a nano zinc oxide (ZnO) catalyst with fly ash (FA) as a support material for converting kapok seed oil (KSO) into biodiesel. This research aims to study the preparation of nano ZnO/FA solid catalysts and the catalyst's reactivity towards kapok seed oil biodiesel (KSOB) products. The catalysts were synthesized using a modification of the Stober process, which is the co-precipitation, impregnation, and precipitation step co-occurred. The catalyst is prepared on base condition using sodium hydroxide with a solvent of methanol and zinc chloride as a raw material. FA waste was effectively modified with zinc oxide particles to create a high-performance ZnO/FA composite catalyst. Under optimal stoichiometric NaOH and 60% ZnO, the resulting material achieved a remarkable specific surface area of 14.8 m²/gram, indicating its potential for enhanced catalytic activity. The prepared catalyst of nano ZnO/FA achieved successful methanolysis of KSO, with a maximum FAME yield of 61.09% attained at 65°C after 5 hours of reaction time, using a 3% catalyst dose and a KSO: methanol molar ratio of 1:15. The initial success of nano ZnO/FA with kapok seed oil paves the way for further development towards robust catalysts specifically tailored for low-grade oil conversion.

This study aimed to develop a conceptual model of the role of differentiation strategy and organizational citizenship behavior in mediating the effect of transformational leadership on the performance of private high schools in Pekanbaru. The sample was 140 principals and vice-principals of private high schools in Pekanbaru. The data obtained were processed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). The findings in this study are that transformational leadership has a positive effect on the performance of private high schools in Pekanbaru, differentiation strategy and organizational citizenship behavior mediate the effect of transformational leadership on the performance of private high schools in Pekanbaru. The most effective pathway to affect the performance of private high schools is the mediating pathway of organizational citizenship behavior on the effect of transformational leadership on the performance of private high schools.

This study examines the impact of indentations on the strength of float glass. Using the Vickers indentation method with loads of 1N and 10N, we created defects at varying distances from the point of contact. Biaxial flexure tests revealed that indentations with 1N at 18mm decreased the strength, while those with 10N and shorter distances from the point of contact increased the strength. Weibull distribution analyses showed a correlation between the load, distance, and the Weibull modulus, highlighting the influence of defect size on the probability of rupture.

Many industries rely heavily on the availability and reliability of complex structural and functional components to execute operations efficiently. However, failure of components during service occurs due to exposure to unfavourable operating conditions, causing wear and tear of these components. The damage will result in costly downtime and potential safety hazards. Repairing, remanufacturing and refurbishing these complex parts is critical. Restoring broken structures into operation ensures the smooth operation of the industry, thus preventing losses. Conventionally, repairing parts poses a challenge. However, Wire-arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), which employs the welding principle, has revolutionised component repairing or remanufacturing. This paper reviews the literature on manufacturing complex parts, repair, remanufacture and refurbishment of broken structural and functional parts using WAAM technology. This paper also highlights the various strategies and techniques currently used to improve the quality of WAAM 3D printed parts. The study further covers the immense potential of WAAM in revolutionising the remanufacturing and repair of components. The review study has provided a roadmap for future research and development to take full advantage of this new cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Modern Smart Cities are highly dependent on an efficient energy service since electricity is used in an increasing number of urban activities. In this regard, Time-of-Use prices for electricity is a widely implemented policy that has been successful to balance electricity consumption along the day and, thus, diminish the stress and risk of shortcuts of electric grids in peak hours. Indeed, residential customers may now schedule the use of deferrable electrical appliances in their smart homes in off-peak hours to reduce the electricity bill. In this context, this work aims to develop an automatic planning tool that accounts for minimizing the electricity costs and enhancing user satisfaction, allowing them to make more efficient usage of the energy consumed. The household energy consumption planning problem is addressed with a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm, for which problem-specific operators are devised, and a set of state-of-the-art greedy algorithms aim to optimize different criteria. The proposed resolution algorithms are tested over a set of realistic instances built using real-world energy consumption data, Time-of-Use prices from an electricity company, and user preferences estimated from historical information and sensor data. The results show that the evolutionary algorithm is able to improve upon the greedy algorithms both in terms of the electricity costs and user satisfaction and largely outperforms to a large extent the current strategy without planning implemented by users.
