The escalating demand for items and their consumption has exerted immense pressure on industrial production and supply chain systems, leading to adverse environmental and societal consequences. The rise in pollution rates and ecological disasters resulting from industrial production has prompted numerous scholars and industry specialists to focus on Sustainable Production and Consumption matters within the framework of Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM). The interest in sustainable supply chain management has significantly increased in recent years, spanning both business and academic sectors. This phenomenon is seen in the growing prevalence of papers, conferences, specialized periodicals, and websites exclusively focused on the subject matter. Nevertheless, the importance of sustainable development in developing economies has only just started to be acknowledged. This literature review aims to assess existing research on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) in developing nations while considering a worldwide perspective. This paper thoroughly examines the rapid expansion of the subject from an evolutionary perspective; aimed at comprehending the progression of sustainability concerns by examining patterns across different industries, and economies, and employing diverse approaches. An extensive thematic analysis was conducted on 56 selected publications published between 2010 and 2023, emphasizing the growth and significance of the knowledge base. The analysis is conducted utilizing a descriptive and content-oriented methodology. Subsequently, the results are presented, demonstrating an increasing interest in Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM). Nevertheless, there is a conspicuous discrepancy in the extent of research carried out on this subject in emerging economies as opposed to industrialized ones. The findings indicate that the context in less developed countries plays a crucial role in carrying out empirical or case study research. Moreover, it is crucial to analyze how the integration of the three dimensions of sustainability impacts the efficiency of the supply chain, especially when considering the perspective of an emerging economy. Hence, the limitations of this investigation are delineated. Ultimately, it is crucial to do further research from multiple angles within the supply chain, encompassing collaboration, sustainable practices, innovation, sourcing, and supplier growth, with a special emphasis on the position and background of rising countries.

This paper studies the marketplace channel introduction of contract manufacturers and the response of the platform with an option to introduce a private brand. We develop a game-theoretical model to examine a three-tier e-commerce supply chain including a contract manufacturer (CM), an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and a platform and derive the equilibrium results. We find that the marketplace channel introduction of the CM and the platform's private brand introduction influence each other. More specifically, marketplace channel encroachment may discourage the platform from introducing a private brand, and this preference is reinforced as the referral fee increases. Interestingly, the introduction of the platform's private brand increases the likelihood of contract manufacturer encroachment, which is mediated by the difference between the two private brands of the CM and platform--as the difference increases, the CM prefers to enter the marketplace channel. Furthermore, only contract manufacturer encroachment (or private brand introduction for the platform) can always benefit the whole supply chain, but the supply chain may be hurt when the platform and the CM perform their strategies simultaneously. In the extension section, in addition to demonstrating the validity of our main results when the CM and the OEM act as a single entity, we also find that the first-mover advantage of the platform may reduce the possibility of the contract manufacturer encroachment.

An overview of the current state of SCM and the difficulties businesses in this sector confront is presented at the beginning of the article. It then explores how cloud-based solutions can address these challenges, such as through the use of real-time data analytics, collaborative platforms, and intelligent automation. Additionally, the paper investigates the potential risks and challenges associated with cloud-based SCM, including data security and privacy concerns, vendor lock-in, and the need for robust disaster recovery plans. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic, the paper includes a case study that illustrates how a company successfully implemented cloud-based SCM solutions to improve their operations. The paper concludes by highlighting the key takeaways and insights from the research, and by identifying potential future directions for research in this field. Overall, this study delivers insightful information about the function of CC in SCM and offers useful suggestions for companies looking to use this technology to enhance their supply chain operations.

Continuously increased order and variability of the inventory in the uppermost level of the supply chain node create the Bullwhip effect. In the context of closed-loop supply chains, this dynamic phenomenon is still little understood despite modern nations' increasing interest in exploring the potential for a circular economy. The problem-specific literature has produced results that are a little bit contradictory. I derive formulas in four archetypes for computing inventory order and variance amplification with different information transparency structures to better understand the Bullwhip Effect in the closed-loop structure. It’s interesting to note that the visibility of the supply chain's degree significantly influences how lead time and return rate affect the performance of that system. From this vantage point, I may review differences from earlier studies. Later on, I switched the perspective of the study from operational to economic. Here, the ideal return rate was established, and the four closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) archetypes where it might be expressed were provided. I demonstrate that the lead times, demand unpredictability, and the cost structure of all nodes affect the ideal rate of return. In this study, I also address pertinent management implications and the properties of various closed-loop systems from the perspective of Bangladesh.

Economic development is required to be associated with sustainable environmental protection and is considered as an urgent need in the current period. Research on the factors that determine the use of green production activities is carried out in Vietnam through a survey of 202 businesses, through Cronbach's alpha reliability analysis method, exploring EFA factors and regression analysis, research results show that the benefits of green growth, the effectiveness of communication and the quality of human resources have a positive impact on promoting green growth, while there is no influence of state policies on green growth.

Supply chain plays a very important role in the socio-economic development of countries, especially in the context of the fourth industrial revolution associated with the development of the sharing economy as well as associated with the rational and optimal allocation of resources. Studying the impact of supply chain management on the development of the sharing economy in the case of Hanoi, Vietnam and using advanced quantitative analysis methods, the research results show that perfecting the supply chain helps businesses rationalize costs and thus can improve business performance and promote the sharing economy. The study also shows that the quality of human capital and technological level have a positive impact on the sharing economy. Therefore, when the economy increases the contribution of technology to production activities, it helps businesses increase their choice of the sharing economy and thus helps to allocate resources more effectively and optimally.

The adoption of supply chain management (SCM) is pivotal in boosting organizational competitiveness and performance. This study examines the relationships among SCM, firm value, company performance, and competitive advantage within the context of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach, we analyzed data collected from a sample of 100 MSMEs using SmartPLS to test various hypotheses. The findings indicate that effective SCM significantly influences a firm’s value, performance, and competitive advantage. This study supports the mediating role of firm value by showcasing its robust influence on the relationship between SCM and competitive advantage. However, the mediating role of company performance on competitive advantage appears weaker. The discussion integrates relevant literature, highlighting the pivotal role of SCM strategies in enhancing productivity, fulfilling customer desires, and increasing competitiveness. This study also underscores the critical link between financial performance, value creation, and competitive advantage. Overall, this study contributes to the ongoing development of practical SCM knowledge by providing valuable insights for MSMEs seeking to navigate the challenges of an evolving business landscape.

In the contemporary business landscape, effective interpretation of customer sentiment, accurate demand forecasting, and precise price prediction are pivotal in making strategic decisions and efficiently allocating resources. Harnessing the vast array of data available from social media and online platforms, this paper presents an integrative approach employing machine learning, deep learning, and probabilistic models. Our methodology leverages the BERT transformer model for customer sentiment analysis, the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model for demand forecasting, and the Bayesian Network for price prediction. These state-of-the-art techniques are adept at managing large-scale, high-dimensional data and uncovering hidden patterns, surpassing traditional statistical methods in performance. By bridging these diverse models, we aim to furnish businesses with a comprehensive understanding of their customer base and market dynamics, thus equipping them with insights to make informed decisions, optimize pricing strategies, and manage supply chain uncertainties effectively. The results demonstrate the strengths and areas for improvement of each model, ultimately presenting a robust and holistic approach to tackling the complex challenges of modern supply chain management.

Developing green supply chains is a solution that many countries pursue to improve supply chain efficiency and thereby make businesses and the economy more efficient and optimal. Researching the impact of green supply chain management on the performance of businesses in Vietnam, the study conducted a survey of 210 businesses operating in Vietnam and through quantitative analysis, the research results showed that the green supply chain practices help the supply chain develop more sustainably and thus can improve business performance. Research also suggests that business leadership and strategic planning ability have a positive impact on business performance.

The objective of the research is to determine the impact of supply chain management and enterprise factors on enterprise performance. Research results showed that improving supply chain efficiency can improve business performance, so the governments should improve supply chain efficiency, especially perfecting the green supply chain to increase the operational efficiency of businesses and the economy. The study also suggests that businesses should seek equity financing to further improve business performance, and at the same time need to improve debt management capabilities to help businesses be more capable and achieve high financial efficiency.
