The research analyses the impact of non-interest income on the performance of 26 Vietnamese commercial banks in the period of 2008 - 2017 by the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) method. The research results show that: (i) The average non-interest income ratio of Vietnamese commercial banks is only 8.32%, a significantly low level compared with the interest income ratio of more than 90% of the total income of the banks; (ii) Non-interest income has a positive impact on the performance of Vietnamese commercial banks in the research period. The research results assist in confirming the trend of diversifying non-credit activities to increase non-interest income ratio of Vietnamese commercial banks.

Small businesses in the food and beverage sector are currently experiencing rapid development, including in Indonesia. Although more and more studies on small businesses occur, but the key factors for companies to survive in a certain period of time – during the last three and a half years in this study, still need to be ex-plored. Especially in Indonesia, small businesses as part of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are able to contribute 60.34% of national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This research method belongs to the type of explanatory research. Determination of the first level sample uses purposive sampling, namely small businesses engaged in food and beverages, at least 3.5 years old. Based on the analysis it was concluded that the Service Innovation and Product variables had a positive effect on Operational Improvement, Service Innovation and Products had a positive effect on Survival SMEs, Operational Improvement had a positive effect on Survival, Financial Performance had a positive effect on Operational Improvement and Financial Performance had effect on Survival.

Today, knowledge gradually becomes an important resource for the competitiveness of enterprises (business-es). For small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, knowledge sharing (KS) is a necessary condition to increase labor productivity and ensure the sustainable development of businesses. However, encouraging KS among employees requires management to understand the motivational factors of KS and set out appropriate policies. This study is based on the research model of Burgess (2005) [Burgess, D. (2005). What motivates employees to transfer knowledge outside their work unit?. The Journal of Business Communication (1973), 42(4), 324-348.] and related theories to identify psychological motivational factors that affect KS. The study conduct surveys in 400 SMEs to assess the impact of the factors on KS in Vietnamese SMEs. The results show that the factors like rewarding; Fear of losing power, Concepts for self-interest, promoting the role of the group, the concept for social benefits affect KS, significantly. From this re-sult, the study also proposes a number of recommendations to improve KS motivation of Vietnamese SMEs' employees. At the same time, through quantitative research, the author identifies the factors affecting the knowledge sharing behavior of SMEs in Vietnam. Research results indicate different factors; including team-work, cohesion, trusts, reward system, information technology system, communication with peers, the concern of senior management are correlated positively with employees' knowledge sharing behavior.

The concept of entrepreneurship has become popular in different countries such as Vietnam and Poland. However, there are few comparative researches on entrepreneurial intention and migration attitudes among students in two countries. The purpose of this study is to show a comparative analysis of some issues related to entrepreneurial intention and migration attitudes such as willingness to take the risks, knowledge about the market, competitors, financial resources, factors effecting on entrepreneurial intention, circumstance and the purpose of going abroad among students in Vietnam and Poland. The study employs quantitative analyses by utilizing some tools of descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-Test through SPSS 20.0 to show the differences of factors affecting on intention to start up a business and migration attitudes between Vietnamese and Polish students. The research results show that although the demographic layout of students in two countries was rather similar, there were some differences in 12 out of 17 factors influencing on entrepreneurial intention of Vietnamese and Polish students. In terms of migration attitudes, almost all Vietnamese and Polish students were interested in going abroad to find a job and only minor proportion of them planned to run a business abroad.

Despite the importance of risk management in the banking sector, little research has been devoted to the Ara-bian settings. This paper investigates the effect of risk management practices (i.e., understanding risk and risk management, risk analysis and assessment, risk identification, risk monitoring, and credit risk analysis) on Jordanian commercial banks’ performance. The study utilizes a quantitative approach by obtaining survey data from risk managers and employees in risk management departments (n=23) of commercial banks. A partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied on the data and the results showed that the components of risk management practices had positive and significant impacts on the performance of banks. In sum, the findings corroborate existing work in the Western settings and underscore the importance of risk management in the Arabian banking context.
