The present research analyzes the short and long run relationship between Energy Consumption, Economic growth, and Carbon Dioxide emissions in Jordan. The study employs two (2) models: 1: Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bound testing approach and 2: Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) Granger causality and impulse response function. The results reveal that energy consumption has a positive impact on carbon dioxide emissions and in turn carbon dioxide emissions have a positive link to economic growth. Further, the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis is tested, and it reveals that the EKC hypothesis is validated in the case of Jordan since the carbon dioxide emissions show a significant impact on economic growth in the short and long run. The study provides important results for future researchers and government policy makers.

The current study aimed at exploring the impact of supply chain internal and external integration on the operational performance of manufacturing companies operating in Jordan, as well as addressing the possibility of a mediation effect of lean operations and practises on the proposed relationship. Achieving the study objectives necessitated using the deductive approach and the descriptive survey approach. Using a well-designed questionnaire, the primary data was collected from a 315-manager sample randomly selected from the companies. Accordingly, the nature of how supply chain integration, lean operations, and operational performance impact each other was investigated. The study results revealed that integrating the supply chain both internally and externally could increase the opportunity to attain a more desirable operational performance, particularly in terms of quality performance measures. Moreover, in the vein of adopting lean practices among manufacturing companies, a positive mediation effect was found. Thus. In light of these results, it is concluded that lean operations, as a mediating variable, positively influence the association between internal and external supply chain integration on quality measures of operational performance.

The utilization of blockchain technology is increasingly emerging as a catalyst for significant changes across multiple industries, including the domain of Islamic finance. This study examines the influence of blockchain technology on the factors that contribute to the successful adoption of blockchain in Islamic banks located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The present study employs a cross-sectional survey methodology, encompassing a sample of 344 banking professionals. The investigation utilizes Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as a statistical technique to examine the association between several crucial variables, namely Trust, Financial Transfers, Operating Expenses, Safety and Security, and the effective implementation of blockchain technology. The results indicate that these variables have a major impact on the effectiveness of implementing blockchain technology, confirming its ability to boost the efficiency of transactions, decrease expenses, and enhance security while adhering to Shariah law. This work makes a vital contribution to the scholarly discourse around the deployment of technology in the context of Islamic banking. In particular, it emphasizes blockchain technology's part in fostering innovation within the sector and fostering a culture of compliance with the sector's ethical and operational standards.

Today, there is a need to develop businesses procurement activities through adopting agile and sustainable procurement practices. The key aim of this research is to identify the influence of both procurement agility and sustainability on organizational performance. The study creates a relationship between the procurement agility and procurement sustainability in the organizational performance with the mediating role of corporate governance. The research framework involves two critical predictors including procurement agility and procurement sustainability. The data was collected with a quantitative cross-sectional methodology within UAE’s business entities context through adaptation of a well-designed questionnaire that was distributed to different businesses like Aviation, Hospitality and Telecommunication (320 responses). The study findings supported a hypothesized model with a significant influence of procurement agility and procurement sustainability on organizational performance. In addition, corporate governance mediated the relationship between procurement agility and organizational performance. The study concluded with the growing non-traditional procurement activities for better organizational outcomes.

The primary aim of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role played by entrepreneurial accounting practices in mitigating information disparities, as perceived by employees within the realm of Jordanian financial intermediaries. This role is encapsulated in various components, including accounting systems and policies, international financial reporting standards, international external auditing standards, international internal auditing standards, as well as professional and ethical conduct guidelines. In pursuit of our research objectives, we adopted two distinct methodological approaches. Firstly, a descriptive analytical approach was employed, involving the development of a structured questionnaire to gather primary data pertaining to the assessment of independent variables associated with entrepreneurial accounting practices. The second approach encompassed an applied perspective, seeking to gauge the impact of entrepreneurial accounting practices on reducing information asymmetry. This was achieved by examining the financial statements of insurance companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange for the period spanning 2016 to 2022, thereby constituting our dependent variable. Rigorous statistical techniques were employed to meticulously analyze the collected data, with the validation of our hypotheses achieved through a comprehensive multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study distinctly underscore the pivotal role played by entrepreneurial accounting practices in ameliorating information asymmetry issues within the corporate economic landscape. A robust and statistically significant correlation emerged between our dependent variable, namely the reduction of information asymmetry, and both the independent variables associated with entrepreneurial accounting practices and their inherent characteristics. This study's significant recommendation extends beyond the mere technical dimensions of accounting, encompassing a call for a holistic reevaluation of the accounting profession. Addressing the enduring phenomenon of information asymmetry among stakeholders is not merely a concern confined to the technical aspects of accounting. Rather, it represents a profound professional and ethical crisis that permeates the entire accounting ecosystem. This crisis emanates from the very foundations and legal frameworks of the profession, extends through accounting standards, and encompasses professional conduct and ethics. Ultimately, it concludes with the supervision and oversight of the quality of professional performance, an obligation shared by accountants, certified auditors, and management alike.

This study aimed to explore the relationship between ethical leadership and employees’ innovative behavior. The study relied on the analytical-descriptive approach through a review of the theoretical subjects related to previous studies and the analytical-practical aspect through preparing a questionnaire and distributing it to the targeted population of the study, while relying on the SPSS and Amos programs to test the hypotheses of the study and achieve its objectives. The results showed that there was an impact for ethical leadership on the employees’ innovative behavior and the organizational commitment partially mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and the employee's innovative behavior.

This paper identifies the degree of strategic agility and its relationship with the competitive advantage in the private hospitals in Jordan. To achieve this goal, a special questionnaire was developed for a sample of managers in hospitals. The study distributed 208 questionnaires to 27 hospitals, and managed to collect 95% of them, properly. The target group was mainly hospital directors, deputy directors, district directors and department heads. The researcher presented a set of recommendations that could be considered necessary to achieve a level of competitive advantage in all fields of hospital work. In the light of the problem of research and its questions and the review of relevant studies, the current research sought to test the validity of the hypotheses of the study. The results of the statistical analysis revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the extent of the Agility exercise and the competitive advantage of private hospitals in Jordan (α=0.05). The results also showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the strategic sensitivity and competitive advantage of the private hospitals in Jordan (α = 0.05). However, the results of the hypothesis did not differ from the second sub-hypothesis, where there was a statistically significant relationship between the substantial and competitive advantages of private hospitals in Jordan (α = 0.05). Finally, the statistical analysis found that there is a statistically significant relationship between technology and competitive advantage in private hospitals in Jordan (α = 0.05).

This study aimed to clarify the effect of artificial intelligence with its variables (ES, NN, GA, and IA) on job performance. The banking sector in Jordan is used as a study community and targeted managers at all levels, and in order to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire is developed for the purpose of collecting data from the random sample. The sample consisted of (319) managers. Also, the study used the descriptive approach and the data are analyzed on SPSS. The results showed that there is a statistically significant effect of artificial intelligence that affects job performance through (GA, and IA) only. In addition, the results showed that gender, academic qualification and years of experience have a statistically significant effect on job performance in commercial banks in Jordan. The study recommends preparing future research for the same variables and the study community, but for another country, in order to generalize the results.

The current study examines the change in environment performance through green human resource management in a developing country’s higher education institutes. The data were collected by survey using a reliable and valid instrument adopted from the literature. The unit of analysis in the current study is an individual consisting of employees working in higher educational institutions of Pakistan. Three hundred questionnaires were distributed while 220 questionnaires were found completely filled for statistical analysis. The current study utilizes the multiple regression techniques through structural equation modelling using second-generation software SmartPLSv3.0. The results indicate the positive influence of green human resource policies on environmental performance and provide significant insights on the partial mediating effect of employee eco-friendly behavior between green human resource management and environmental performance. The present study provides numerous theoretical and practical implications through the extension of Ability-Motivation-Opportunity theory by constituting the employee behaviors for the implementation of environmental strategies in the organization context. The findings of the present study suggest guidelines for human resource managers and management of educational institutes to implement green human resource policies that are likely to improve institutes environmental performance.

The objective of the study has two folds: first, the study analyzes the role of country governance in tourism. Second, the study investigates the impact of tourism on the environmental quality. For this purpose, the data from 1997 to 2018 are collected from the World Bank and Global Economy. Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) test and ordinary least square regression models are used to analyze the impact. The study finds positive impact of rule of law, control of corruption, political stability and government effectiveness on tourism. The study also finds a negative relation between tourism and environmental quality of Pakistan. The study recommends the tourism destination planners to continuously monitor their country and to work with the government towards stability and protection and safety of tourists and for the general public. The rules to control corruption must also be implemented in a blanket form. The study also recommends the researchers to promote research on the relationship between country governance and tourism. Overall, the evidence of the study provides innovative information regarding the impact of country governance on tourism and tourism on environmental quality, which political leaders, tourist analysts and policymakers can use to shape policies in order to promote the tourist industries.
