In this study, the selective oximation of structurally diverse aromatic aldehydes (versus ketones) to the corresponding aldoxime derivatives was investigated using the combination system of NH₂OH.HCl and bisthiourea complexes of cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc chlorides, M^II(tu)₂Cl₂, in a mixture of CH₃CN‒H₂O (1:1 mL). All reactions were carried out successfully at room temperature within the immediate time up to 130 min giving the products in high yields. Investigation of the results exhibited that the applied bis-thiourea metal complexes show the catalytic activity in order of Co(tu)₂Cl₂₂Cl₂₂Cl₂₂Cl₂ in their oximation reactions.

In this study, a green and practical approach towards Hantzsch dihydropyridine synthesis of acridine-1,8-diones is introduced. Via the mentioned protocol, the one-pot condensation reaction of structurally diverse aromatic aldehydes, dimedone and NH4OAc was promoted by microwave radiation at solvent and catalyst-free conditions. Consequently, acridinedione products were produced in 81‒97% yields within 3‒8 min. The current protocol represents the prominent advantages in terms of the using a simple synthetic procedure, short reaction times, mild reaction conditions, high yield of the products as well as omission of hazardous and cost-effective organic solvents/reagents.

In this article, magnetically nanoparticles (MNPs) of CuFe2O4 were prepared and characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy techniques. Super paramagnetic CuFe2O4 was used as an efficient catalyst for green formylation of structurally diverse alcohols to the corresponding formyl esters using formic acid as a solvent (60-70 °C). All reactions were carried out successfully within 1-120 min to afford the products in 76-96 % yields. Reusibility of CuFe2O4 MNPs was examined 5 times without significant loss of its catalytic activity.

The immobilized NaHSO4·H2O on activated charcoal was used as a highly efficient promoter system for facile N-formylation of amines with ethyl formate. All reactions were carried out in refluxing ethyl formate (54 ?C) under mild conditions within 10-100 min to afford the product formamides in high to excellent yields (80-94%).

Facile conversion of structurally different epoxides to the corresponding B-chlorohydrins was carried out successfully with anhydrous ZnCl2 in CH3CN. The reactions were carried out within 10-50 min to give B-chlorohydrins with perfect regioselectivity and high yields (80-97%).

This study was aimed at highly stereoselective ring-opening of epoxides with acetic anhydride in the presence of molecular sieves 4Å as an efficient reagent. Yields of the 1,2-diacetates are uniformly good to excellent and the reagent may be recycled without the requirement for purification. High yields, short reaction times, ease of preparation and simple work-up procedure (filtration) are advantages of this method.

Selective oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes and ketones was achieved efficiently using K2S2O8/activated charcoal system. All reactions were carried out at solvent?free conditions (40?45 ?C) within 15?60 min to give the products in high to excellent yields.
